Rasulullah ﷺ said: “The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah. And the best thing that I and the prophets before me have said is: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ‏ La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.” “There is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He has power over all things.”

DOA YANG BOLEH DILANGITKAN KEPADA ALLAH PADA HARI ARAFAH. Ya Allah, sibukkanlah aku dengan perkara-perkara yang membawa kebaikan kepada diri aku, yang mendekatkan aku kepada-Mu, yang menjadikan aku lebih baik, lebih tenang, dan lebih bersyukur. Jauhkanlah aku daripada segala perkara yang melalaikan, yang membuang masa, yang merosakkan hati dan fikiran, serta yang menjauhkan aku daripada rahmat-Mu Ya Allah. Dan jika aku tersalah jalan, lembutkanlah hati aku dan bimbinglah aku kembali kepada-Mu dengan segera. Lapangkanlah dada aku, tenangkanlah fikiran aku dan kurniakanlah aku rezeki yang halal, hidup yang diberkati, serta hati yang sentiasa merasa cukup dengan apa yang Engkau kurniakan. Dan setelah selesai segala urusan aku di dunia ini, ambillah nyawa aku dalam keadaan yang Engkau redhai, Ya Allah. Ya Allah, pada hari Arafah yang penuh rahmat ini, jadikanlah aku seseorang yang lebih baik daripada sebelumnya. Lembutkanlah hati aku untuk menerima teguran, permudahkanlah aku dalam menghadapi segala ujian dari-Mu dan lapangkanlah dada aku untuk terus belajar memperbaiki diri. Ya Allah, aku sedang menggapai mimpi-mimpi aku satu per satu, maka permudahkanlah setiap jalannya. Jangan biarkan aku berputus asa di tengah jalan, dan teguhkanlah langkah aku ketika harapan ini hampir pudar. Ya Allah, jika Engkau menghadirkan seseorang dalam hidup aku, maka hadirkanlah dia yang mampu mendekatkan aku kepada-Mu, bukan yang menjauhkan aku daripada jalan-Mu. Ya Allah Ya Fattah, lembutkanlah hati aku dan hatinya, agar kami saling menerima kelebihan dan kekurangan kami, saling menjaga dan saling menguatkan dalam beribadah kepada-Mu. Ya Allah Ya A’lim, jika memang dia yang terbaik untuk aku, terbaik untuk agama aku, terbaik untuk hati aku dan terbaik untuk masa depan aku, maka permudahkanlah jalan untuk kami dipertemukan dengan cara yang tenang dan damai, lalu Engkau satukanlah kami dengan cara yang Engkau paling redhai. Why is it that when we love someone so deeply, Allah tests us through them? Sometimes they leave. Sometimes they hurt us. Sometimes the people we love most become the source of our greatest pain. Look at Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام. He waited years for a child & when Allah finally blessed him with Prophet Ismail عليه السلام, his love for him was immense. Then suddenly, Allah commanded him to sacrifice his own son. Logically, how could Allah, The Most Merciful could ask a father to do that? But Allah never wanted Ismail’s blood. Allah wanted Ibrahim’s heart. Because in the heart of a Khalilullah, no love can be above Allah. Allah wanted Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice the feeling of absolute attachment and dependence upon creation, until only Allah remained in his heart. And the moment Ibrahim surrendered sincerely, Allah replaced Ismail with another sacrifice. Ismail did not die. But the attachment that could compete with Allah did. That is why sometimes Allah tests us through the people we love most. Not because He wants to destroy us, but because He wants to bring our hearts back to Him. And whatever we let go of for Allah is never truly lost. It returns as barakah, peace, reward, protection, or sometimes in a form even more beautiful than before. Because Allah never takes something away without wisdom.
