I could go on and on with more examples but let me summarize all of it this way. TRADE SECRETS have no place in PUBLIC elections. Period. Full Stop. ELECTION MACHINES = TRADE SECRETS. We are paying for TRADE SECRETS.
France voting machines Abandoned in 2008 – Security Risk
NO MAIL-IN VOTING, RARE MACHINE-VOTING
Mail-in voting was banned in 1975 amid fears of potential fraud.
“Machine-voting was allowed as an experiment starting in 2002, but the purchase of new machines has been frozen since 2008 due to security concerns. Only a few dozens towns still use them.”

The Irish like Pencil and Paper for Voting
In December of last year, Phelan said that Irish citizens have no urge to depart from the pencil and the ballot paper. “I certainly wouldn’t be keen for that type of approach to change very much,” he said, adding that there is something “quaint and fantastic of having polling stations in the middle of nowhere”.

Stop The Gaslighting - In Germany Citizens Watch the Votes Being Counted by Hand
“We have no voting machines — at the end of the day, it’s the ballot paper that gets counted,” he added.
“Thiel also mentioned the unique quality of transparency that characterizes Germany’s elections, saying that any citizen can walk in and watch as votes are being tallied. That way, citizens can see the process for themselves and can help ensure that vote-tallying is ethically performed.”

Germany gave up voting machines in 2005
The cliff note version is machines are not transparent and specialist technical knowledge should not be required to count votes. Full Stop.
Trade Secrets have no place in public elections using tax payer money.
“This decision by the German Constitutional Court, stressing the need for transparency in the electoral process without specialist technical knowledge, effectively ended Germany’s recent use of electronic voting. Although the Court decision does not rule out electronic voting machines entirely, no further moves to adopt machines that meet the transparency requirements have been made.”

Repost from America's Audit Force
^”They paid “vote buyers” to identify voters in Tangipahoa Parish who had not yet voted. They drove those individuals to the polling place and paid them for their votes, according to court documents filed by government lawyers.”

Wow. The Lt Gov said “There were no objections to the election” until Jen & Sophie came along. 😂😂😂

E-poll Books Wireless Verification
For those still doubting or wanting to know if your e-pollbooks can connect to wireless cellular service, if you have the serial numbers from the e-poll books from your local election officials, you can look up the model here.
An example, SN SGCTV4F23HLF9 is a 5th generation WiFi only model.

The KNOWiNK system also integrates with other components to be able to tell who voted absentee so that those voters cannot vote again.
Let me think like a cheater……..maybe it would be good to know who has not voted so I could vote for them with a mail in ballot? Or maybe the data is passed onto certain political operatives who “encourage” people to vote who haven’t voted? Maybe that encouragement involves, I don’t know, money? Just a guess.
Wireless Election Equipment in MN
https://minnesotareformer.com/2022/06/14/election-administration-explained-how-and-why-polling-places-are-computerized/
“In short, Minnesota polling places can use up to three kinds of computers: pollbooks, ballot marking devices, and tabulators. They can use up to three kinds of networking: Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth.”
There you have it. Pollbooks, ballot marking devices and tabulators have the CAPABILITY of connecting to cellular data services via 3 types of communication protocols….and this person is ADVOCATING for election machines.
Clearly, the system relies on procedural or other technical controls to “ensure” these CAPABILITES are not hacked…I guess.
Another quote:
“For this reason, the Legislature expressly allowed electronic pollbooks to be networked beyond the polling place for purposes of updating absentee ballot records. Most commonly, this is done using Wi-Fi communication from the pollbook to an access point within the polling place and then cellular data communication from the access point to a county server. If you see the blinking lights of an access point in your polling place, that’s what it’s for. (The pollbook systems also make use of short-range Bluetooth networking between the tablet computers and printers.)”
In MN, you have all these vendors that apparently, are permitted to network in this way.

Election Machine Source Code Review in MN
Taken from Subd 6 Required Certification
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/206.57
“A vendor must provide a copy of the source code for the voting system to the secretary of state. A chair of a major political party or the secretary of state may select, in consultation with the vendor, an independent third-party evaluator to examine the source code to ensure that it functions as represented by the vendor and that the code is free from defects. A major political party that elects to have the source code examined must pay for the examination. Except as provided by this subdivision, a source code that is trade secret information must be treated as nonpublic information, according to section 13.37. A third-party evaluator must not disclose the source code to anyone else.”
Why is ANY information related to counting votes treated as a TRADE SCERET? This is antithetical to the transparency needed for voter confidence. Plus, we paid for these machines….
Does your state permit source code review?
KNOWiNK Mission Statement
https://knowink.com/who-we-are/
“Therefore, KNOWiNK is in a perpetual state of development to enhance the overall election experience for voters and everyone involved with running elections. Our top priority is to continue advancing the election process to make voting easier for workers and voters alike.”
Some advice KNOWiNK…..your top priority should be CYBERSECURITY….not making things EASIER.
This company was started and is run by former election officials…how cool is that?
Let me read between the lines, use your insider connections developed as former elected officials to sell equipment to county governments, like Cook County for example, perhaps? Just guessing.
I don’t live in Cook County, but if I did, it would be interesting to FOIA some of the documents around that deal…just a suggestion.

90,000 Poll Pads deployed, representing almost 1,000 jurisdictions across the US and Canada.
Look at these “amazing features”.
Process voters in approximately 35 to 40 seconds; mitigate long lines with fast and secure voter look-up.
My question: Secure you say? Exactly how?
Built-in election management and reporting tools; elections can be finalized and submitted within hours of election close.
My Question: Since this is an ipad, are you using wireless capabilities for that?
Improved accuracy and reduced preparation time and storage requirements with the elimination of paper logs.
My question: Who says eliminating paper logs is a good idea?
Poll workers or voters cannot leave the application without a password, preventing user error, a line slow-down, or creating a potential security issue.
My question: Uhmm…not only doesn’t this make sense, what other security hardening do these poll pads have?
Not only poll pads, EMS, On demand ballots, election night results, and voter registration. Nothing about EAC certification on this web site.
Repost from The Lone Raccoon
OK, the Hunter info I teased about. Some of you may have known this as it got a small amount of press last year but since then more info has come out. So please don't reply with "Pshaw - I knew than last year"... many more do not, nor do they know all of it.
Serbia is a country with 34,170 square miles in area.
In 2016, and again in 2018, GPS records found on Hunter's laptop show him within 1 mile of Dominion's Serbia headquarters.
Dominion Serbia is where a lot of the Democracy Suite programming occurred.
I have been told by trusted sources that at least two of these programmers have confirmed that there is code in there to influence the election.
I found the last name of one of them in the Dominion compiled executables. So that checks out.
So, to ask a question (which is what I usually do), Hunter, what were you doing so near to Dominion Serbia? Coincidences happen, of course, but this would be one heck of one.

Thanks to EDA Matt for flagging this. There are so many errors and falsehoods in this, it’s quite unbelievable what passes for journalism these days. Publicly funded (state) journalism.

On July 21st, 2022, litigation hold notices were sent to 25 of Washington's 39 counties requesting they refrain from further deleting election records from 2020 and later, in anticipation for litigation.
It was discovered that the counties had deleted the audit logs from the election systems used in the 2020 presidential election. The logs were deleted by the vendor (Clear Ballot, Hart InterCivic, and Dominion) during an "upgrade" to the system. Some counties had the records deleted as soon as December 2020, breaking both state law and federal law.
