Assalamualaikum wr. wb. everyone! 👋 Are you a full-time university student looking for financial support or recognition for your academic excellence? The Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) has officially opened applications for our 2026 Awards!
We have two distinct tracks available depending on your needs:
🔹 University Bursary Award ($2,000): For full-time undergrads with a household Per Capita Income (PCI) capped at $700.
🔹 Scholarship Award (Up to $10,000): Merit-based, open to all full-time undergrads with no PCI limit!
Who can apply?
• Muslim Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
• Enrolled full-time in a university based locally or abroad.
• (Note: Students graduating this year are not eligible).

One of the most beloved deeds of worship we can do in the blessed month of Muharram is fasting. While the day of Ashura has passed, the opportunity to draw closer to Allah SWT through voluntary fasting remains.
Abu Hurairah RA narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The most excellent fast after Ramadan is the fast in Allah's month, al-Muharram." (Sahih Muslim). As such, let us seize this opportunity to revive the beautiful sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ. ✨️
In this month, Ayyamul Bidh falls on the 29 June to 01 July (Mon - Wed). May Allah SWT grant us the ability and strength to observe these blessed fasts, accept our deeds, and allow us to attain His pleasure and mercy. Ameen 🤲

One of the acts the Prophet ﷺ highly encouraged is fasting on the Day of 'Ashura, which falls on this coming Friday, 26 June. The Prophet ﷺ said that fasting on this day expiates the sins of the previous year.
May Allah SWT forgive our shortcomings, keep us steadfast upon His deen, and allow us to witness this blessed month and the months ahead in a state that is pleasing to Him. Ameen 🤲
