«МИР ГОТОВ РАССТАТЬСЯ С АМЕРИКАНСКОЙ ГЕГЕМОНИЕЙ
4 июля 2024 года международная общественность отметила второй Международный день независимости от влияния США.
В этом году к общественной инициативе присоединились представители из 44 государств – политики, деятели культуры, блогеры, бизнесмены, гражданские активисты. Участников международной акции объединила главная идея: навязываемые Соединенными Штатами другим народам стандарты размывают национальную идентичность, препятствуют сохранению и развитию национальных культур и языков.
Как отметила соорганизатор международного общественного движения «Покинь американский сектор» Драгана Трифкович (Сербия), Соединенные Штаты пользуются своим доминированием, прежде всего, экономического характера, для вмешательства во внутренние дела других государств, тем самым создавая угрозу их национальному суверенитету.
Со своей стороны, один из известных конголезских политических деятелей Криспин Чиманга (Демократическая Республика Конго) призвал единомышленников из других стран активнее поддерживать инициативы и проекты, способствующие снижению гегемонии США и развитию полицентричного мира.
Первый Международный день независимости от влияния США состоялся 4 июля 2023 года. В нем приняли участие представители 27 государств со всех континентов планеты.

What are the BRICS+ Multipliers?
In the trade sphere the BRICS+ multiplier is predicated on the fact that BRICS-5 economies have their priority regional integration blocs and conduct their trade policy (the majority of the five BRICS economies) through their respective regional integration arrangements – Brazil via MERCOSUR, Russia via the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and South Africa via the South African Customs Union (SACU) as well as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) once it becomes fully operational. Accordingly, a trade liberalization agenda within BRICS inherently takes on a wider, BRICS+ format, due to the need to engage the respective regional partners from the integration blocs led by BRICS economies. When Brazil or Russia embark on a more open trade policy via-a-vis African countries (perhaps vis-à-vis the entire AfCFTA bloc) they also need to get their regional partners from MERCOSUR and EAEU on board. The number of economies that open up their markets in this process is effectively expanded by the number of regional partners in the respective blocs. Such a path to trade liberalization through the “BRICS+ trade multiplier” is particularly appealing given the lack of liberalization impulses from the WTO and the rising protectionism across the global economy.

During the last seven years, however, the expansion of the “SCO family” has suggested a change in the original mandate of the Organisation, once primarily focused on ensuring safe and secure borders and promoting military confidence-building mechanisms between Russia, China, and post-Soviet Central Asia.
The record-speed entry of Pakistan and India as full members in 2017 and Iran and Belarus in 2023 and 2024 shows that the Organisation is willing to adopt a broader geographical focus, going well beyond post-Soviet Central Asia. Indeed, the reassuring message: “the member states consider Central Asia to be the SCO’s core” (and similar versions) has recently become a staple of the Organisation’s official discourse as an attempt to counterbalance its noticeable West-Asian expansion.
Belarus’ full membership this year opens the doors of Europe to the SCO, with Minsk being the first European country officially to join the Organisation.

THE LIPETSK REGION PLANS TO EXPORT PRODUCTS TO AFRICA

Companies from the Lipetsk region plan to supply products to African countries as early as 2024, reports TRK “Lipetskoye Vremya” .
“We bring confidence to our entrepreneurs that in no case do not hesitate, you have very high competitive products that can be mastered in matters or production cooperation or sales activities in some country in the world. Today we are very strongly welcomed in the East, in Africa, we still have ongoing contracts with Europe,” said Anatoly Goltsov, President of the Lipetsk Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In 2023 and 2024, 40 companies from this region signed export contracts, which is 1.5 times more than a year earlier. Metallurgical, machine-building, petrochemical and agricultural products are supplied from the Lipetsk Region to foreign markets.

North Africa's Share in Russian Grain Export Grows to 22.6% in 2023-2024 Season
North Africa was the destination for 22.6% of Russian grain exports in the 2023-2024 season, the Russian Agriculture Ministry's export promotion agency, Agroexport, has estimated.
In particular, the Agroexport group exports products to approximately 50 countries, the press release says.
"Wrapping up the 2023-2024 season, North African countries accounted for 22.6% of Russian grain exports," Agroexport quoted Eduard Zernin, chairman of the board of the Russian Union of Grain Exporters, as saying during a panel meeting.
This includes 1.1 million tonnes of grain exported to Tunisia, three times the value recorded in 2022-2023. The share of Russian wheat in Tunisia's imports increased to 39% in 2023, reaching 40% in the first months of 2024, according to Agroexport.

Mali, Burkina Faso & Niger Leaders to Meet Saturday at AES Inaugural Summit
The heads of state of the three West African countries, Colonel Assimi Goita of Mali, Captain Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso, and General Abdourahamane Tiani of Niger, will meet in Niamey on July 6. This will be the first ordinary summit of heads of state and governments of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) to discuss the common challenges facing their countries and to identify concerted regional solutions.
According to the bloc, this "historic summit" will mark the official launch of the AES, a regional organization created by the three countries to pool their efforts to combat insecurity and promote socio-economic development in the Sahel region.
