IFC инвестирует в Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. (CCI), содействуя инклюзивному и устойчивому развитию в Узбекистане, Таджикистане, Турции и Ираке 🌐 Международная финансовая корпорация (IFC), входящая в Группу Всемирного банка, подписала четыре кредитных соглашений, привязанных к показателям устойчивости, на общую сумму 250 млн долл. с турецкой компанией Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. (CCI) и тремя её дочерними компаниями в Узбекистане🇺🇿, Таджикистане🇹🇯 и Ираке🇮🇶. ✅ Финансирование IFC поможет CCI, многонациональной компании по производству напитков, внедрить устойчивые производственные процессы в четырех странах, включающие снижение потребления энергии и воды, содействую внедрению практик циркулярной экономики. 🌐 Marco Mantovanelli, World Bank Country Manager for Uzbekistan, began his tenure in the country in the summer of 2020, right in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past four years, Marco has led one of the World Bank’s largest country programs in the Europe and Central Asia region. 🎙 This month, Marco will complete his mission in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan reduced carbon emissions by 500,000 tons. As part of an earlier agreement, the World Bank awarded the country a $7.5 million grant. 🌐🇺🇿 Uzbekistan is the first country to receive the World Bank carbon funds after cutting emissions through a policy crediting program. 🥇 Our pioneering iCRAFT Project is supporting the Government to improve energy efficiency, phase out subsidies, and access carbon markets. 💵 The World Bank’s Transformative Carbon Asset Facility (TCAF) rewarded Uzbekistan with a $7.5 million grant for successfully cutting 500,000 tons of carbon emissions under the iCRAFT Project. These emission reductions were independently verified. ✍️ The above-mentioned payment is the first of several anticipated payments under the Emissions Reduction Payment Agreement (ERPA) concluded between the government of Uzbekistan and the World Bank as part of the iCRAFT Project. 📊 Under this agreement, Uzbekistan could receive up to $20 million in grants for verified emission reductions or carbon credits generated through its energy subsidy reforms. ✅ The country aims to reduce 60 million tons of CO2 through the Project, with the iCRAFT set to purchase approximately 2.5 million tons of CO2.
