NO REPETITION OF JHS 2 STUDENTS- GES TO HEADS
The Ghana Education Service has sent a message to all of Schools not not repeat JHS 2 students for the 2023 academic year.

Repetition of 2022 academic year JHS 2 students for the 2023 academic year
It has come to the attention of the Management of Ghana Education Service that some Heads of Public Basic Schools are repeating the last year academic year's JHS 2 students who are progressing to JHS 3 this academic year.
Management takes serious exception to this practice. This is due to the fact that the current JHS 3 students are the last batch of the Objective Based Curriculum who will write BECE this year.
The current JHS 2 students are the first batch who will write BECE in 2024 using the Standard Based Curriculum.
In view of the above, all last year's JHS 2 students should progress to JHS 3 in order not to disadvantage any Objective Based Curriculum students in the BECE.
Accordingly, Management of GES is requesting Regional Directors of Education to bring the above directives to the attention of Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education for Strict compliance by all Heads of Basic Schools.
