Frequently asked Questions:
I get asked these questions a lot so I've compiled it into one.
1. How can I receive scholarships in a particular subject?
Most scholarships are not given by subjects. They are given to all subjects unless stated explicitly. So, you can just apply for scholarships given by a university. They are applicable to all subjects unless stated explicitly otherwise. So just apply for scholarships that are given by universities if you want scholarships in a particular subject.
For example, let’s say you want to get an undergraduate scholarship in computer science in Canada. Then, you would have to just find an undergraduate scholarship in Canada. Most likely, this scholarship will cover computer science as well since most scholarships are given for all subjects (However, this does not include medicine in most cases. Many countries do not give scholarships for medicine. If I get the time, I’ll compile a list of medical scholarships for international students.)
So let’s say you want a Master’s scholarship in engineering in USA. Then, you would just have to find Master’s scholarships since most scholarships are offered to all subjects (except medicine). If they are offered to only a few subjects, they will explicitly state so.
2. I need scholarships for undergraduate, Master's, or PhD program. Where can I find those scholarships?
The best friend is Google. You can find undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD program by going to the university websites and finding them. Also, you can search a scholarship database like
uscollegeinternational.com. Here, just search the university that you are interested in and look at the scholarship opportunities available.
3. How can I apply for scholarships for a particular country?
Your best source of information is the university itself. Universities outline clearly how to apply to their universities and their scholarships. Although there are no guidelines that fit into all universities, here are some general guidelines:
1. Make a list of universities and scholarships given by those universities that you want to apply to.
2. Check the university websites and look for their application procedure and eligibility criteria (such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, etc)
3. Follow the application procedure on the official website and apply using the application form in the official university websites.
4. After admission application, submit a scholarship application for that university if the scholarship requires you to do.
If you need finding universities to apply to. check

So, let’s say that you want to apply for Canadian scholarship for undergraduate degree in computer science. Then, you can go to the “Canada Scholarship” page linked above and start looking for a scholarship that is offered to undergraduate students. Most likely, these scholarships will cover all subjects except medicine
4. How can I find free scholarships?
Free scholarships are extremely difficult to get. You will need excellent profiles to have these full scholarships. However, there are universities and scholarships that do offer it. You can take a look at this article.
5. What tests do you need to apply for scholarships?
For most scholarships in most countries, you'll need a good score on the IELTS (7.0+) or TOEFL (100+). Also for undergraduate, a good score on SAT (1450+) or ACT (32+), and for graduate, a good score on GRE (160+).
6. Can I get scholarships without taking these tests?
It is very rare that you can get scholarships without taking the tests above.
7. I have been admitted to a particular university but still need funding. What can I do?
If you were given admission and was not given any funding or a little scholarship, you will need to apply for external scholarships that are given by external organizations. These are funded by individuals, organizations, etc to help students.
