some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

We received this from Coleman Greetings in the Name of Jesus. This is Coleman Boyd. What a glorious God we serve! I exalt His Name and worship Him… Not because of the outcome of a trial or sentencing, but because He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and is good, kind, merciful and loving! I wanted to write and give an update after our sentencing this week as many of you have been faithfully praying and caring for us. Let me start by saying, “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! What a glorious God we serve who calls us into His family and His service! Acts 28:16, 30-31 16 Now when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard; but Paul was permitted to dwell by himself with the soldier who guarded him. ... 30 Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, 31 preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him. As many of you may have already heard (and can obviously see by receiving this text), I was not sentenced to prison. The Lord blessed me with being able to stay home with my family, and for this I am thankful. However, I have “house arrest” for 6 months which means I will be stuck at home (pray for Robin!) except for work. The verses above show where Paul was under house arrest for 2 years. He “received all who came to him preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ.“ Hallelujah! The word of God is not bound! Please pray that God will bring folks to our home more than ever that we may preach the kingdom of God and teach the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. As we have walked through this, we have seen God be faithful in so many ways. He has sustained our joy and peace that surpassed understanding! We have also seen all of you show us love that is beyond understanding as you have prayed and stood with us. We praise God and give Him thanks for all of you! Thank you! We love y’all. A quick overview of the sentences that were handed out will be below. Of note, some were given “supervised release” and some given “probation.” I am not positive I remember who got what, but I’m listing what I think I remember. The supervised release seems to have a little bit stricter oversight than regular probation. Coleman- 1. 6 months home detention with permission to leave to work and worship. I can’t leave the county except for work during that time period. 2. 5 years probation. 3. $10,000 fine + $125 court costs. Paul- 1. 6 months home detention with ability to travel in the county for work and worship 2. 3 years probation, 3. $125 court costs. Denny- 1. 6 months home detention with ability to travel for work and worship, 2. 3 years supervised release, and 3. $125 court costs. Cal- 1. 6 months in federal prison (surrender date is currently set at October 1), 2. 6 months home detention with ability to travel for work and worship, 3. 3 years supervised release, and 4. $125 court costs. Heather and Chet are scheduled to be sentenced on September 26 and 27. Eva Edl, Eva Zastrow, Jim Zastrow and Paul Place are scheduled to be sentenced on July 30. Of note, Brother Steve Lefemine was convicted of FACE violation in Columbia, SC. His sentencing is July 17. Please continue to pray for these brothers and sisters. Unfortunately, my house detention will keep me from attending their sentencing. I would encourage folks to go to them and stand with them if you can. Hallelujah! Jesus is worthy! Please continue to pray for us as we look to Jesus as our salvation. May He be exalted in our bodies in everything we do by the prayers of the saints and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Again, thank you for praying for us and standing with us. Don’t think it strange that we are facing these trials.
