Writing was incredibly difficult for me, which is why I took advanced writing courses at Nazarbayev University. Looking back, I realize I could have started learning much earlier through the resources offered by top universities. What I love about these institutions is the level of support they make available to students. Writing centers, research guides, citation help, workshops, feedback services... so many resources are there, waiting to be used. To access this wealth of material, simply type: Uni Name + Writing Center/Writing Resources You'll often find guides, handouts, exercises, and tutorials that can significantly improve your writing—for free. Stay curious. Some of the best learning resources are hiding in plain sight.

it is actually so convenient that IDP allows to choose up to 50 universities to send the results electrinically for free~

Wow, I found it! Do you still not have an idea what people do at universities or colleges? Check this one out: https://youtu.be/iaDpfalKSxQ?si=-6ukp0yXmglM0Jvb This one is so far the best introductory video on studying I’ve seen. It introduces different types of study institutions and why choose them. Overall, if you like it, check their whole “How to College” series😌

i am now growing to the point where i am interested in interviews and stuff. found this pdf: looks handy. "Handy" - useful, convenient.

However, The main and shortened structure, or the magic pill, for any answer in Writing or Speaking is STATEMENT - WHY - EXAMPLE: I agree/disagree with A, because XYZ. For example, B. The main advantage/disadvantage of A is C. The first reason for that is XYZ. For instance, B. The second reason is DFE. One of the examples is, N. etc. Always say Why. That’s where all the depth and focus lie.

Any communication, just like writing, is easier to perform while having a system, or, in our case, frameworks🌟 Today I found this wonderful pdf on 5 Types of Frameworks with examples and explanations you can use for your IELTS Prep. Feel free to check, download, and share🌺

The most important thing in self-studying is not discipline. It is knowing what suits you the best. And thus being able to be effective and enjoying the process. While there are tons of books on IELTS, I mainly studied for IELTS through YouTube videos. Books seemed not to effective because they were mainly theoretical and required more time to filter out the important from the water. To understand Reading, I worked with google. Those included posts from the all-known IELTSLiz and others. For Writing, I mainly watched E2’s tutorials (there were some others too) For Speaking, it wad mainly KeithSpeakingAcademy (on youtube) and others helpful videos. So, if you are not into working with IELTS books, don’t force yourself to read those. Choose a strategy that would suit your needs and study behavior.

Единственное, что останется - это делать практисы и работу над ошибками Участие: 10к тенге; места: first come first served basis, отправляйте «+» в комменты или @jyzstar

Don’t wait for the external approval. Некоторым выгодно, когда вы сомневаетесь в себе, потому что тогда вы начнете покупать страховку и передачу ответственности. Focus on. Self-belief on. Imagine yourself the main character of some game or a movie: No worries. No emotions. Only you, your determination, and the goal in front of you. Long story short: if you feel like you’ll make it in X amounts of time, go for it🔥 and if you’re waiting for someone’s approval, you got mine🫶

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT IELTS PREP STRATEGY: If you have strong English but don’t know the IELTS format → focus on exam structure, question types, and timing. If you know the IELTS format but your English is weak → stop focusing on the exam and build your language first. If you have both strong English and understand the format → practice under timed conditions and analyze mistakes. If your English is not strong but you also have not much time → combine exam preparation with intensive language exposure. _____ Need help choosing the right IELTS strategy? Consultations are open → @jyzstar

If you’re stressing about IELTS, this message is for you🤍 I know IELTS can feel like something huge. I’ve been there. I was told IELTS was everything and the only thing I needed. In reality, IELTS turned out to be a tool that helps us move forward — to study abroad, apply for scholarships, work internationally🌎 Don’t make IELTS bigger than it actually is. Don’t turn it into something scary, dramatic, or life-defining, because IELTS is a language exam - nothing more and nothing less. Getting a good score is great. But don’t put so much pressure on yourself that the exam starts feeling like the center of your life. You don’t need to spend months or years worrying about it. Instead, approach IELTS calmly and strategically: - Build your English📚 - Understand the format📋 - Learn how the exam works🌐 IELTS like a step on the road, not the whole journey 🚶‍♀️✨ You’ll handle it, I believe in you🫂

though I do not have the audio file of it, this book has some nice vocab and exercises, check it out #vocabulary
