• The day of Ashura is the tenth of Muharram • The Prophet ﷺ fasted the day of Ashura in Makkah • The Prophet ﷺ fasted it when he made hijrah to Madinah, and he continued to fast it until his death • in the last Muharram of the Prophet ﷺ’s lifetime, he said, after having fasted the tenth only: “If I live until next year, I will certainly fast the ninth [day of Muharram]”. • The Prophet ﷺ used to seek fasting it, seeking its virtues • The Prophet ﷺ commanded [the muslims] to fast it [the day of Ashura] before the [obligation of] fasting Ramadan, and he commanded whoever awoke with a broken fast (not fasting) should fast for the rest of his day. • After the obligation of fasting Ramadan, the Prophet ﷺ said that the day of Ashura is a day of the days of Allah, so whoever wishes to fast it [then he may fast it], and whoever wishes not to [then he may not]. • The Prophet ﷺ said that fasting the day of Ashura expiates the sins of a [whole] year

This day is fasted out of gratitude! The Prophet ‎ﷺ came to al Madinah and saw the Jews fasting on the day of ‘Ashura. He asked “What is this?” They responded, “This is a virtuous day, as this is the day Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy. Thus, Musa fasted on this day.” He ‎ﷺ said, “We have more right to Musa than you.” (Or we are closer to Musa than you because Musa was a Muslim and we are Muslim). So he ‎ﷺ fasted this day and ordered the (people) to fast. Sahih al Bukhari 2004

#ImportanceofPrayer DO NOT RUSH IN PRAYERS 🚫 Once the Prophet (ﷺ) entered the mosque, a man came in, offered the prayer and greeted the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) returned his greeting and said to him: "Go back and offer Salat again for you have not offered Salat." The man offered the Salat again, came back and greeted the Prophet (ﷺ). He (ﷺ) said to him thrice: "Go back and offer Salat again for you have not offered Salat." The man said: "By Him, Who has sent you with the truth! I do not know a better way of offering Salat. Kindly teach me how to offer Salat." He (ﷺ) said: "When you stand for the Salat, say Takbir and then recite from the Qur'an what you know and then bow with calmness till you feel at ease, then rise from bowing till you stand straight. Afterwards prostrate calmly till you feel at ease and then raise (your head) and sit with calmness till you feel at ease, and then prostrate with calmness till you feel at ease in prostration and do the same in the whole of your Salat." 📚: Sahih Bukhari 793 The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "Perform the bowing and the prostrations properly in a correct and perfect way.." 📚: Sahih Bukhari 742 Hudhaifa (رضى الله عنه) saw a person who was not performing the bowing and prostration perfectly. He (رضى الله عنه) said to him: "You have not offered Salat and if you should die, you would die on a religion other than that of Muhammad (ﷺ)." 📚: Sahih Bukhari 791

💬Mothers denying breast milk to their infants may be a reason for them to be punished On the authority of Abu Umāmah Al-Bāhili, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 🗣️While I was sleeping, two men came to me. They took hold of my arms and brought me to a rugged mountain. They said: 'Climb.' I replied: 'I am unable to.' They said: 'We will make it easy for you.' So I climbed...". The hadith continues until he said: "Then they took me along, and I came across women whose breasts were being bitten by snakes. I asked: 'What is the matter with these women?' They replied: 'These are the women who denied their children their milk...🗣️. 💬Narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah (1986), Ibn Hibban (7491), and Al-Hakim (2837). Al-Hākim authenticated it according to the criteria of Muslim, and Adh-Dhahabi agreed with him. It was also authenticated by Sheikh Albani in "As-Silsilah As-Sahihah" (3951). ____ ✍️NOTE: Powdered infant formula can be used as an alternative: The scholars of the Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas stated (21/7): "It is incumbent upon a woman to breastfeed her children and ensure their well-being. She should not suffice with imported milk or any other substitute without (1) the consent of her husband after consultation, and (2) provided that it does not harm the children." @womensbenefits ✈️https://t.me/Gemsofsalafiyah

💬Narrated Anas [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat Al-Baqarah and Al 'Imran, and he used to write (the Revelations) for the Prophet . Later on he reverted to Christianity again, and he used to say: "Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him." Then Allah caused him to die, and the people buried him, but in the morning they saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, "This is the act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and took his body out of it because he had run away from them." They again dug the grave deeply for him (and buried him), but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, "This is an act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and threw his body outside it, for he had run away from them." They dug the grave for him as deep as they could (and buried him), but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. So they believed that what had befallen him was not done by human beings and had to leave him thrown (on the ground). 📚[Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/3617 ✈️https://t.me/Gemsofsalafiyah

A Series of Reminders About The Month of Muḥarram - No.2 Ibn al-Qayyim on 'Ashūrā Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "And as for fasting the day of 'Ashūrā, then (Prophet ﷺ) used to carefully seek it (or give importance) more than the other days. And when he arrived in Madinah he found the Jews fasting and honouring it so he said: "We have more right to Musā than you all." So he fasted and commanded with its fast, and that was before Ramaḍan become obligatory. Then when Ramaḍan became obligatory he said "Whoever wishes (may) fast it and whoever wishes (may) leave it" ● [زاد المعاد ٦٣/٢]

A year is about to end and a year is about to begin, so reflect over your past year and all its events. What is left of it? Everything in it has passed and ended, and nothing remains of it except what you have prepared for your Hereafter, whether good or evil, so build [a base] for your coming year with the goodness of what has remained [of this year] and prepare yourself with what you need of permissible provisions.
