Type & Uses
(i) Milky Glass is prepared by adding
tin oxide (SnO2), calcium phosphate
[(Ca3(PO4)2] or cryolite (Na3AIF6) to
the melt glass.
(ii) Flint Glass contains lead oxide (PbO)
and used in optical instruments like
lenses, prisms.
(iii) Soda or Soft Glass is sodium calcium
silicate (Na2O. CaO. 6SiO2). It is the
ordinary glass and used for making
bottles, window panes, etc.
(iv) Potash Glass or Hard Glass contains
potassium carbonate (K2CO3). It has
higher softening temperature. It
is used for making beakers, flasks,
funnel, etc.
(v) Crown Glass contains potassium
oxide (K2O), Barium oxide (BaO),
boric oxide (B2O3) and silica (SiO2). It
is used for optical apparatus.
(vi) Crook's Glass contains cesium
oxides. It is used for spectacles as it
absorbs UV rays.
(vii) Glass Laminates is made by fixing
polymer sheet between layers of
glass. It is used to make windows and
screens of cars, trains and aircraft.
(viii)Jena Glass contains B2O3 and
alumina. It is resistant to acids
and alkalies. It is used for making
laboratory bottles, for keeping acids
and alkalies.

🏝👉🏼Zeatin is produced in Roots and transported to Shoots in the xylem where it promotes cell division.
🏝👉🏼In 1676, the Danish astronomer Ole Roemer (1644–1710) became the first person to measure the speed of light. Until that time, scientists assumed that the speed of light was either too fast to measure or infinite.
🏝👉🏼Rain has a pH value of between 5.0 and 5.5, which is slightly acidic.
🏝👉🏼Isoelectronic have the same numbers of electrons or the same electronic structure .
🏝👉🏼Analog Computer system do not require any storage device.
🏝👉🏼The process of fertilization involves a sperm fusing with an ovum. The sperm plasma, then fuses with the egg's plasma membrane, the sperm head disconnects from its flagellum and the egg travels down the Fallopian tube to reach the uterus.
🏝👉🏼Sodium is the most electropositive and Chlorine is most electronegative element of the third period of modern periodic table.
🏝👉🏼Mainframe computers or mainframes are computers used primarily by large organizations for critical applications; bulk data processing, such as census, industry and consumer statistics, enterprise resource planning. It is also known as Big iron.
🏝👉🏼Which of the following hormone is not secreted by Pituitary gland?
1. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH).
2. Prolactin
3. Vasopressin
4. Somatostatin☑️
🏝👉🏼Somatostatin, also known as growth hormone-inhibiting hormone or by several other names, is a peptide hormone that regulates the endocrine system and affects neurotransmission and cell proliferation.
