📜 Constitution Day (26th November) 🇮🇳
Today marks a significant day in the history of India! On this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted, and it came into effect on 26th January 1950.
The Constitution is not just a legal document but a vision for a free, fair, and equal India where every citizen is entitled to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
✨ Key Facts About the Indian Constitution:
1️⃣ It took 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days to draft the Constitution.
2️⃣ The Drafting Committee was chaired by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, known as the "Father of the Indian Constitution."
3️⃣ The Indian Constitution is the largest written constitution in the world.
🌟 Unknown Facts About the Indian Constitution:
1️⃣ Original Copies Written by Hand:
The original Constitution was written entirely by hand in Hindi and English by Prem Behari Narain Raizada using calligraphy. No typewriters or printing machines were used.
2️⃣ Decorations Inspired by Indian Culture:
The artwork in the original Constitution was done by renowned painter Nandalal Bose .
6️⃣ Special Mention of Mahatma Gandhi:
The ideals of Gandhian philosophy are included in the Directive Principles of State Policy, such as the promotion of village panchayats and prohibition of liquor.
7️⃣ World Record in Amendments:
With 100+ amendments, India's Constitution is one of the most frequently amended in the world, showcasing its adaptability.

Initially, the Constitution had 395 articles, 8 schedules, and 22 parts. Today, it has grown to include 448 articles, 12 schedules, and 25 parts!

The Indian Constitution has inspired many other countries, including South Africa, which adopted several features while drafting its Constitution.
10️⃣ Oath Without the Word 'Constitution':
Interestingly, the President and Governors take an oath to "uphold the Constitution," but the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers do not use the word "Constitution" in their oaths.
