Park Gun-wook explained, "When I first saw the demo title 'TOP 5,' I thought it was an autobiographical song containing the aspirations of the five members, but it turned out to be about falling for your five charms." Park Geon-wook looked back with a laugh, saying, "I lived just like I did when I was a trainee." He explained, "Since my hometown is in Gyeonggi-do, I used to take an express bus to and from work every day during my trainee days. I would spend the one and a half hours round trip constantly replaying the monitor videos from the monthly evaluations. This time, I found myself staring intently at the 'TOP 5' choreography video even during our schedules." He continued, "It wasn't intentional, but I found myself doing it naturally. It brought back old memories, and I realized just how ambitious I am about this comeback. It was fascinating to see how deeply I was immersed, and I felt a sense of exhilaration." Seok Matthew also did not hide his feelings of pressure and responsibility regarding this album. He explained, "Every album is important, but I felt that so many people would be evaluating us with this one. So I felt we needed to show them our true selves." He continued, "The members personally selected the songs for this album and contributed a lot of opinions to the overall project. If there were parts we weren't satisfied with, we even personally asked the A&R team if we could re-record them.
