The US response to 9/11 was the first time I realized that our country is evil. I remember being horrified that we would level an entire city based on suspected weapons of mass destruction. I remember asking my parents how we knew for sure.
Even as a kid I realized something was horribly wrong with how most people had reacted, I knew the attack was only for revenge. I responded with refusing to stand for the pledge in school, I lost all faith or trust in the US government and I started moving towards a more and more rebellious mindset.
The genocide that resulted from these attacks is possibly the most horrific example of American militant overreach that has ever occurred and the leaders who orchestrated this invasion and mass death are war criminals that belong in prison. Bush and Obama should be rotting in a shared cell. They should die in that cell.
America is a terroristic state that is responsible for the death of millions, we did these things as we lied to ourselves about our motives and reasoning. We contrived stories to excuse our actions and then bathed in the blood of the third world. Blood that runs black and fuels our empire.

You can also try "stalin 13 years in siberia" for a completely seperate story about how stalin spent 13 years exiled in Siberia.

Moments pass by
slipping into nothing,
the past is in my mind,
I dream of something
or someone
fleeting.
Running from time
running the line,
decay and design,
cellular structure
abating and becoming
forever repeating
in horrid mockery
of living symmetry.
I see you drifting,
fading, flame wavering,
candle flickering.
I see you dreaming
of being strong,
you sing me a song
in your sleep
I can hear you
whispering
memories.
The moments slip by
then they die
I'd ask God why
if he were listening.
Every second bleeds,
dripping from me,
my heart weeping,
trying not to think
i just keep
running.
