The Executive Committee of ETHIOPIA2050 invites you to theETHIOPIA2050 1-day roundtable that will be held in at Ministry of mining Meeting hall Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and online on January 5, 2023.  The Meeting is hosted by Ethiopia2050 and Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers in collaboration Ethiopian society of Mechanical Engineers, Ethiopian Society of Professional Engineers and ICT-ET in partnership with Ministry of mining, Ministry of Innovation amd Technology, BGI Ethiopia and Capital Magazine. It has been four years since the ETHIOPIA2050 Initiative was launched. The main mission of the Initiative is to focus on the future - as Ethiopia’s population continues to grow to the 200 million mark by 2050 - and generate forward-looking and practical ideas for policy makers and stake-holders on how to harvest this demographic dividend and also address the associated challenges. The purpose of the meeting will be to bring together members of the different ETHIOPIA2050 Task Forces, policy-makers, entrepreneurs, innovators, academics, and other stakeholders for creating momentum around the various initiatives and identifying concrete and specific ways for scaling them up. We plan to particularly devote ample time to devise plans — in practical terms — on scaling-up the recently launched “ Digital Ethiopian Cheetah Cities" and the “High-Tech Manufacturing" initiatives to make measurable and meaningful impacts. Equally importantly, we are looking forward to extending our ecosystem building and identifying champions who will help in realizing the goals of our Blue-Ribbon Panel Report of 2020.
