Emilio Alzueta is a teacher of liberal arts, a translator, a widely experienced project and educational manager, a poet and a lecturer. He studied English and Spanish literature at the Universities of Salamanca and Swansea Within the Islamic tradition, he has studied with traditional teachers in places like Turkey and Spain, and has given courses and lectures in a variety of subjects, such as theology, metaphysics, history of Al-Andalus, aesthetics, poetry, and traditional psychology. He is the author or editor of 6 books, and translator of other 6, all in Spanish. He is currently preparing a book on Islamic theology in Spanish, and a book on Beauty and the Islamic tradition in English. He has travelled widely, from India and China to many countries in the Islamic world and the West, and he is deeply familiar with the Western cultural and intellectual tradition.
