a timeless reminder: forgive as quickly as you expect Allāh to forgive you.

shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله said:  we did not appear in this worldly life to live in it like grazing animals and merely eat, drink and sleep. rather, we came to this dunya in order to prepare provisions for the hereafter.

Ibn Baz, may Allah have mercy on him said: "The greatest blessing that Allah grants to a woman is neither a husband, nor children, nor a house. It is that she understands the meaning of Tawhid and applies it until her death, for it is this that will save her soul when everything disappears." [Majmuʿ Fatawa Rasā’il, 1/134]

- Beware of the Devil's Tricks - They are the cause of relapse after righteousness. The Devil continues to extinguish the light of faith in the heart until the heart becomes darkened. He leads the servant to neglect obligatory prayers, then to indulge in permissible things, then to consider minor sins as insignificant, and then to neglect obligatory duties, to consider major sins as trivial, and finally, to doubt the religion itself.

Shaykh Muhammad Atiyyah Salim (rahimahullah) said, And I heard the Shaykh (Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shinqiti (rahimahullah), author of the famous Tafsir, ‘Adwaul-Bayan’), may Allah have mercy on us and him, make the following statement, “The Quran will not become firmly established in one’s chest, nor will memorising it become easy, and neither understanding it, except by standing in prayer with it in the depth of the night.” And he (rahimahullah) would not leave his set (daily) portion of recitation during the night — whether in summer or winter. [Shaykh Muhammad Atiyyah Salim (rahimahullah), Tatimmah Adwaa’ul-Bayaan fi Eedaah al-Quran bil-Quran, pg. 613]

"Some people live their whole lives for sports. When you see them or you talk to them, they can tell you everything about sports. Whether it's soccer, football, or any other sports. They can tell you about the players more than they can tell you about the lives of the Sahābah رضي الله عنهم اجمعين. Their laptops and their phones, both externally and internally, are filled with information and pictures about their favorite players and teams because that’s what they’re truly passionate about. That’s their entire world and that’s their life. Their focus and goal is on the sport of the season. They connect to matters pertaining to sports and disconnect from what doesn’t pertain to sports. They put their energy to activities that don’t involve Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. You sit with them and open topics other than sports and they’ll show no interest. Talk about the Qur’an and Sunnah—they’re disconnected from that because they’re connected to something else. A Mutabaadil’s mindset differs significantly from that of a businessman or a sports enthusiast or anyone with any dunya pursuit no matter what it is. A Mutabattil finds joy in his ‘Ibādah and he experiences sadness when he misses on a moment that could be spent in ‘Ibādah. Their constant pursuit is to seek refuge in Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. Their talk and interest is about Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. And the status of Tabattul is a constant presence in an individual's life. It remains with one at all times in every location. It’s not a part-time thing. A Mutabattil might be physically among others, but their soul and spirit is wandering around the ‘Arsh of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. They interact with people through their appearance and speech, but deep inside they’re filled with a sense of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى greatness and majesty. They celebrate with others in their happiness, yet their heart with heavy with fear and respect for their Lord. They feel sorrow alongside others, but their spirit is filled with peace and joy in what Allāh سبحانه وتعالى has decreed. They’re like a presence that’s both there and not there." — Shaykh Ahmad Jibril حفظه الله

"من السنّة أن تتخذو كنية لأنفسكم حتَّى وأن لم تكونوا متزوجين/متزوجات" "It is from the Sunnah to adopt a Kunyah (teknonym) for yourselves even if you are not married." "مَا كُنيتك؟ "What is your Kunyah?

Imām Ash-Shāfi’ī رحمه الله said: “If you wish for the rectification of your heart, or your son, or your brother, or whoever you wish for their rectification, then place him in the garden of the Qur’ān and in the company of the Qur’ān. For verily Allāh will rectify him, whether he wills for it or not, by His permission The Exalted!” [Hilyatul Awliyā]

there is something deeply dangerous about developing a sharp eye for the faults of people while slowly becoming familiar with our own. a believer’s awareness of sin should always bring them back to themselves. every fault we notice should remind us that we too stand before Allāh سبحانه وتعالى carrying deeds no one knows about, weaknesses we keep returning to, and sins we desperately need forgiven. the salaf were deeply occupied with muhasabah because knowing the condition of your own soul leaves very little room for self-righteousness. correction has its place, enjoining good and forbidding evil has its place, yet the heart must remain humble while doing it. fear the day another person’s sin disgusts you while your own no longer makes your heart ache. keep asking Allāh سبحانه وتعالى for a heart that recognizes sin wherever it exists, beginning with the soul you will answer for.

الحمد لله على ما نعلم من نعمه وما لا نعلم. we have lived with certain blessings for so long that we have started to expect them. a meal waiting for us. someone whose voice we can still hear. the ability to get up and take care of ourselves. each one deserves a gratitude we often postpone. may Allāh سبحانه وتعالى help us recognise what we have while it is still with us. there is so much in an ordinary day to thank Him for.

Avoiding sins and leaving what does not concern you illuminates the heart, for the heart is affected by what a person repeatedly does and focuses on. A beautiful reminder that it isn't just about "doing good", but equally about removing what is unnecessarily occupying your heart.

Don't think that because you haven't seen the answer to your prayers, you are deprived of their blessings and benefits. For if you worship Allah through prayer, you will receive the reward for that act of worship. This is something that those who only pray to achieve specific goals often overlook, without enjoying the pleasure of communicating with Allah. Taste the sweetness of prayer, and it will make you forget the hardship of waiting for an answer and the bitterness of trials. • Dr. Sultan Al-Arabi.

Beware Of Hypocritical Humility!!
The Salaf would seek refuge from hypocritical humility, just like (it has been reported that) some of them would say: “Seek Allāh’s Refuge from hypocritical submissiveness.” it was said: “And what is hypocritical submissiveness?”, they said: “That you see the BODY in SUBMISSIVENESS while the HEART has NO HUMILITY.” ● [Narrated by Ibn Abee ash-Shaybah in his ‘al-Muṣannaf 7/243 no. 3571’, and Imām Aḥmad in 'az-Zuhd pg. 135’ and Ibn al-Mubārak in ad-Durr al-Manthūr] And 'Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه saw a young man with his head lowered so 'Umar said to him: “O this one raise your head for indeed humility is not more than what is IN THE HEART, so whoever displays submissiveness which is NOT in his heart then this is only HYPOCRISY ON TOP OF HYPOCRISY.” ● [Narrated by al-Qurṭubī in his Tafseer 1/375]

What is Aqeedah? Aqeedah refers to those matters which are believed in, with certainty and conviction, in one’s heart and soul. They are not tainted with any doubt or uncertainty. The Arabic word ‘aqeedah stems from the root ‘aqada, which conveys meanings of certainty, affirmation, confirmation, etc. In the Quran, Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): "Allah will not punish you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He will punish you for your deliberate oaths (bima ‘aqqadtum al-ayman)…" [al-Maidah 5:89] #Aqeedah

"The afflicted person only complains to others when he is in isolation from Allah and has not tasted the sweetness of supplication and the pleasure of complaining to Allah. Complaining to Allah is honor and happiness. It is enough for the troubled and distressed person to relieve his worries that Allah hears and knows his situation before he complains to Him. The created beings do not know your situation until you complain to them"

When a person is blessed by Allah with abundant remembrance (dhikr), Allah blesses their time and their deed. The past scholars, you would find that one of them would write many notebooks in a short period of time, despite their hard work, conditions, and limited means." - التعليق على صحيح مسلم ج 2 ص 29

واللهِ إني لأتعجَّب من أمرِ تارك الصلاة، I swear by Allah, I am amazed by the condition of the one who abandons Salah. What does he do when the world tightens around him, when life scratches his heart with its fangs, when the doors close in his face, and when affliction grips his wrist? How does he endure this world when patience is difficult, and how does he fight the evil within himself without any weapon? With whom does he seek solace, and what is his cure when the doctor has been abandoned? How does he dispel the darkness of the night from his soul, and what does he do when Shaytan has shattered his fortress? How does he restore balance to himself, strengthen the bond of his weakened shoulders, straighten his bent back, and to whom does he turn, hoping and seeking refuge? Who does he pledge to each morning? With whom does he seek help, and upon whom does he place his trust? By Allah, he is truly poor! How can he try to swim against the flow? How can he not bow/roll in prostration before Allah, seeking rest for his heart, just as he once curled in his mother's womb? How can he shut the door on the One who has beautified him, sheltered him, and loved him? How can he abandon prayer, the only means of salvation from the harshness of this world? To whom can he flee with his heart, escaping from everything else? Wretched is the lover who abandons, but best is the beloved who still welcomes despite the sins.

Do not weaken in supplication, for the weakest person is the one who is unable to do it. How many supplications has relieved worries, lifted sorrows, removed sadness, guided a person, protected something, and brought back what was lost - as a favor from Allāh ﷻ and a blessing.
