🤔The November 2019 SAT was Reused in Almaty October Test? According to our students' reports, the questions on the recent test were identical to the questions on the November 2019 test. Yet, the fact that the College Board reuses some of its tests several times is not unusual. We have investigated this issue and compiled the information that may help you prepare for the exam more efficiently. ⚡️How does College Board prepare and release the SAT exams? • Although test-takers globally are supposed to get an identical test, College Board prepares several variations of a single test, called unreleased tests. • After the exam passes, the "actual" test materials and the test's curve (grading coefficient) are released through the paid QAS (Question and Answer Service). • Yet, unreleased non-QAS materials are, likewise, leaked on unofficial websites like Reddit (here is the most popular subreddit). ⚡️So, why was the previous test reused? Legally, College Board has the right to use the past tests as long as they are not officially disclosed to the public, which happened on December 2018 International, May 2021 International, and August 2021 International (more info here). At times, the information on which unreleased test will appear on the actual SAT date is made available (although these posts are deleted by the moderators on Reddit for legal reasons). ⚡️So, what should you do? Undoubtedly, accessing unreleased material is unethical and illegal. Moreover, College Board effectively spots cheating and cancels scores (as was in August 2021). Yet, we recommend using the Official Practice Tests and Released QAS to prepare for the exam. We argue that preparing for the test by studying the related topics and doing extensive practice is a much safer strategy to achieve the desired score.
