🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet
This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Tokenized Uranium Is Coming to Kraken – Kraken is preparing to list xU3O8, bringing Tezos-based exposure to physical uranium to one of the world’s best-known crypto platforms. The listing comes as Metals.io expands beyond uranium into gold, strategic metals, nickel and cobalt, with silver, copper and palladium also on the way.
➡️ Kento Season 01 Heads to Kickstarter – Digital art is getting a physical twist with Kento’s first collectible card season. The collection features 114 artworks from 37 digital artists, spread across seven rarity levels and centered on Web Nostalgia. Each physical card is connected to an original digital artwork that collectors can choose to reveal and claim.
➡️ TezCon 2026: The Story From Inside the Room – As promised, we’re heading back to Seattle. Tezos Commons’ Brandon Langston (Blangs), one of this year’s TezCon hosts, shares his on-the-ground account of the weekend, from performances and Voices of Iran to technical mishaps, inside jokes, and finally meeting longtime online friends face-to-face. It’s TezCon as it actually felt to be there.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Two Years of Adaptive Issuance – Two years after the Paris upgrade, the numbers are in. Direct staking has grown from roughly 7% to 29% of circulating supply, more tez is now staked than delegated for the first time, and annual issuance has fallen below 3% while network participation has increased. It's an encouraging sign that Adaptive Issuance is achieving what it was designed to do: strengthening security while reducing unnecessary inflation.
➡️ Etherlink 6.6 Enters Fast Governance – Etherlink's latest kernel upgrade has entered the Fast Governance process. Version 6.6 focuses on security hardening, allowing important infrastructure improvements to move quickly while remaining under baker governance. Bakers are encouraged to review the proposal and technical details on Tezos Agora.
➡️ Critical Mass Heads to World Nuclear Symposium 2026 – The Critical Mass podcast, produced in association with uranium.io, has been announced as an official media partner for the World Nuclear Symposium 2026 in London. It's another example of a project built on Tezos establishing a presence within a major global industry while helping connect blockchain infrastructure with real-world markets.
➡️ To Be Perceived, Against Evil Continues at MoMI – If you're in New York this summer, To Be Perceived, Against Evil by Linda Dounia and Rhea Myers remains on view at the Museum of the Moving Image through August 2. The installation explores privacy, memory, and visibility through interactive Tezos smart contracts, with a free companion process mint available on objkt.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Welcome to TezCon 2026! – This weekend, the Tezos community comes together in Seattle for the third annual TezCon. Artists, musicians, developers, collectors, and community members will gather for exhibitions, live performances, interactive art, the Voices of Iran zine, TEIA showcases, and countless conversations that turn online collaborations into real-world connections.
➡️ Community Spotlight: TezGov – Governance participation just became more approachable. Built by Tez Capital, TezGov brings Tezos Layer 1 and Etherlink governance together in a single interface, allowing users to track proposals, participate in governance, and even signal voting preferences directly to their baker. It's another example of the community building tools that make on-chain governance easier to navigate.
➡️ Vaults.fyi Integrates Etherlink – Developers can now access Etherlink-native vaults through a single API thanks to Vaults.fyi's latest integration. Supporting Midas vaults including mBASIS and mTBILL, the platform makes it easier for wallets, fintech apps, portfolio trackers, and neobanks to offer tokenized yield products without building custom integrations for every vault.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Happy 8th Birthday, Tezos! – Tezos celebrated eight years since mainnet launched with a look back at the milestones that have defined its journey, from pioneering Proof of Stake and self-amendment to building one of Web3's most vibrant digital art communities and laying the foundation for Tezos X. More than two dozen major milestones and 21 protocol upgrades later, the ecosystem continues to evolve through on-chain governance and community participation.
➡️ Ushuaia Is Now Live – Tezos' 21st protocol upgrade successfully activated on June 30 without interruption, bringing a 15x increase in Data Availability Layer bandwidth, faster DAL confirmations, rollup governance improvements, and continued testing for protocol-native liquid staking, post-quantum tz5 accounts, and WASM PVM V6. Ushuaia marks another step toward the future of Tezos while continuing the network's tradition of seamless, community-driven upgrades.
➡️ TezCon Returns to Seattle – The Tezos community is preparing to gather once again for TezCon 2026 on July 11. This year's event features an exhibition of digital and physical art, live music, interactive experiences, community initiatives like Voices of Iran, an exclusive novel reading, and a Sunday Music Showcase. Now in its third year, TezCon continues to bring together artists, builders, collectors, and community members from across the ecosystem.

| 16 | 🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet – Issue #307
This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ TzEL Goes Live on Tezos Testnet – Nomadic Labs and Trilitech unveiled TzEL, an experimental rollup exploring private payments in a post-quantum world. The system uses zk-STARK proofs and post-quantum cryptography to protect transactions and encrypted memos against future quantum attacks.
➡️ Why TzEL Matters – Blockchain data lives forever, and encrypted transaction data captured today could eventually become vulnerable once quantum systems mature. TzEL approaches privacy with that future in mind, bringing long-term transaction privacy into a live rollup environment developers can already experiment with.
➡️ Ushuaia Upgrade Tracker – With two days remaining in the Exploration phase, Ushuaia has already reached quorum and supermajority. The proposal includes a 15x DAL bandwidth increase, groundwork for quantum-resistant tz5 accounts, and broader rollup flexibility.
➡️ Open Worlds at Museum of the Moving Image – During Frieze Week, the museum hosts digital art encounters featuring Travess Smalley, Edgar Fabián Frías, and OONA, continuing Tezos’ presence in contemporary digital art spaces

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Tezos X Previewnet Goes Live – Developers can now publicly experiment with one of the core ideas behind Tezos X: EVM and Michelson interacting through a shared ledger. Instead of relying on separate chains and bridges, applications can now settle actions atomically across both environments in a single execution flow.
➡️ A New Design Space for Developers – Solidity developers keep familiar EVM tooling, Michelson developers gain direct access to EVM users and liquidity, and applications can combine both environments natively. The Previewnet now gives builders a live environment to test assumptions, experiment, and explore what fully composable applications could look like on Tezos.
➡️ Tezos Breakfast Club: Miami Wrap-Up – Developers, artists, founders, and community members gathered in Miami this week ahead of the conference rush, with the team from metals.io joining conversations around tokenized commodities and real-world markets. These meetups continue to bring very different corners of the ecosystem into the same room.
➡️ Open Worlds at Museum of the Moving Image – During Frieze Week, the museum will host an afternoon of digital art encounters with Travess Smalley, Edgar Fabián Frías, and OONA, bringing Tezos-based digital art into a physical exhibition space.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Tezos X Moves Toward Reality – Tezos X is no longer just a roadmap. A shared ledger bringing EVM and Michelson together is heading to testnet, letting contracts interact natively in a single transaction. For builders, this opens a much broader design space without fragmentation.
➡️ Tezos Breakfast Club: Miami – A relaxed meetup during Consensus week on May 7. Coffee, conversations, and a chance to connect before the day begins.
➡️ Open Worlds at Museum of the Moving Image – On May 16, digital art takes center stage during Frieze Week with talks and performances from Travess Smalley, Edgar Fabián Frías, and OONA.
