💠 Understanding Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities [Part 2] - Stack Overflow in a simple C program @watashiwasid 🔗 https://hacklido.com/blog/339-understanding-buffer-overflow-vulnerabilities-part-2-stack-overflow-in-a-simple-c-program

Motivational story. The elephant and the rope 🤔 Since many Hackers too face the Motivational Dilema ... Learn More hacking at @eHackX As a gentleman was taking a walk through the elephant compound, he was startled and somewhat confused that these humongous creatures were being tied by a very small rope on the bottom of one of their back leg. It was evident that the elephants as big as they were could, at anytime, snap the rope and escape from their bondage but did not. He walked over to the nearby trainer / keeper and enquired why these huge elephants remained standing with a small rope when they could trample it and break free. "When they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." The man was startled. These huge animals could at any time escape from bondage but because they had the rope on their leg for so long they just accepted and believed it was not possible and remained stuck. Like the elephants, many of us are conditioned to accept our fate and hold onto false evidence appearing real that sabotage and hold us back from achieving success in life because we tried once and failed. Success is on the other side of failure. It's normal to reassess the situation and take a break to learn from mistakes by doing things differently but do not be like the elephants and give up trying. Always remember you only fail when you stop trying.
