‘Has focussed’ के स्थान पर ‘focus’ का प्रयोग करें।

‘Are saying’ के स्थान पर ‘say’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
Proverbial facts, statements in books/newspapers, quotations आदि को report करने वाली क्रिया को Simple Present Tense में व्यक्त किया जाता है, क्योंकि इनमें निरंतर अस्तित्व (continued existence) और relevance होती है।
जैसे—
Virtue has its own reward.
The Gita says that soul is immortal.

‘Said’ के स्थान पर ‘says’ का प्रयोग करें।
18. (c)
‘Who said’ के स्थान पर ‘who says’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
जब किसी महान व्यक्ति द्वारा कही गई बात (statement) को एक fact के रूप में स्वीकार कर लिया गया हो, तो उसे उद्धृत करने के लिए Reporting Verb हमेशा Simple Present Tense में प्रयुक्त होता है।

‘Do not make’ के स्थान पर ‘are not making’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
Nowadays और these days के साथ हमेशा Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

‘I do these days’ के स्थान पर ‘I were doing those days’ का प्रयोग करें।
21. (b)
‘Gradually deteriorates’ के स्थान पर ‘is gradually deteriorating’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
Gradual change या process of change को व्यक्त करने के लिए Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग होता है।
जैसे—
Our English is getting better and better.
22. (c)
‘Increases everyday’ के स्थान पर ‘is increasing everyday’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग वर्तमान में किसी चीज में हो रहे लगातार परिवर्तन, विकास, या ह्रास को बताने के लिए भी होता है।
जैसे—
His handwriting is improving.
Your health is gradually deteriorating.
23. (c)
‘Are discussed’ के स्थान पर ‘are going to be discussed / are to be discussed’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
Be (is, am, are, was, were) + going to + infinitive
या
Be (is/am/are/was/were) + to + V1
का प्रयोग future में होने वाले कार्यों को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है।
जैसे—
I am going to work harder next term.
It is going to rain.
He is to leave shortly.

‘Are opened’ के स्थान पर ‘are opening’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग निकट भविष्य के निश्चित programme के लिए भी होता है।
25. (a)
‘Was knowing’ के स्थान पर ‘knew’ का प्रयोग करें।
Rule:
‘Know’ एक Stative Verb है और इसका प्रयोग Continuous Tense में नहीं होता।
Stative verbs का इस्तेमाल continuous tense में नहीं किया जाता, लेकिन इनके साथ -ing inflection का प्रयोग हो सकता है।
Examples:
Seeing is believing.
She has no understanding of the stative verbs.
Important Stative Verbs
(i) Verbs of perception – see, feel, taste, smell, hear
(ii) Verbs of mental activities – think, know, mean, mind, suppose, remember, understand, believe, agree, admire, adore, hope, want, etc.
(iii) Verbs showing possession – have, own, belong, contain, keep, consist, comprise, possess
(iv) Verbs of appearing – look, appear, seem, sound, etc.
(v) To be verbs – is, am, are, was, were
(vi) Verbs showing emotional states – love, like, hate, detest, despise, dislike, etc.
(vii) Miscellaneous – cost, exist, recognize, depend, doubt, resemble, require, affect, refuse, hope, etc.
