Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying:
“Allāh has mobile (squads) of angels, who have no other work (to attend to but) to follow the assemblies of ḏikr and when they find such assemblies in which there is ḏikr (of Allāh) they sit in them and some of them surround the others with their wings till the space between them and the sky of the world is fully covered, and when they disperse (after the assembly of ḏikr is adjourned) they go upward to the heaven and Allāh, the Exalted and Glorious, asks them although He is best informed about them:
‘Where have you come from?’
They (the angels) say: ‘We come from Thine servants upon the earth who had been glorifying Thee (reciting SubḥānAllāh), uttering Thine Greatness (reciting Allāhu Akbar) and uttering Thine Oneness (reciting Lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh) and praising Thee (reciting Alḥamdulillāh) and begging of Thee.’
Allāh would say: ‘What do they beg of Me?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘They beg of Thee the Paradise of Thine.’
Allāh would say: ‘Have they seen My Paradise?’
They (the angels) said: ‘No, our Lord.’
Allāh would say: ‘(What it would be then) if they were to see Mine Paradise?’
They (the angels) said: ‘They seek Thine protection.’
Allāh would say: ‘Against what do they seek protection of Mine?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘Our Lord, from the Hell-Fire.’
Allāh would say: ‘Have they seen My Fire?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘No.’
Allāh would say: ‘What it would be if they were to see My Fire?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘They beg of Thee forgiveness.’
Allāh would say: ‘I grant pardon to them, and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them protection against which they seek protection.’
They (the angels) would again say: ‘Our Lord, there is one amongst them such and such simple servant who happened to pass by (that assembly) and sat there along with them (who had been participating in that assembly).’
Allāh would say: ‘I also grant him pardon, for they are a people the seat-fellows of whom are in no way unfortunate.’

Narrated by ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه:
While I was standing amongst the people who were invoking Allāh for ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb who was lying (dead) on his bed, a man behind me rested his elbows on my shoulder and said,
"(O ʿUmar!) May Allāh bestow His Mercy on you. I always hoped that Allāh will keep you with your two companions, for I often heard Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar were (somewhere). I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar did (something). I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar set out. So I hoped that Allāh will keep you with both of them."
I turned back to see that the speaker was ʿAlī ibn ʾAbī Ṭālib.

O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allāh is truly with those who are patient.
Never say that those martyred in the cause of Allāh are dead - in fact, they are alive! But you do not perceive it.
We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure —
who say, when struck by a disaster, “Surely to Allāh we belong and to Him we will all return.”
They are the ones who will receive Allāh’s blessings and mercy. And it is they who are rightly guided.

At last, when the Trumpet will be blown with one blast, and the earth and mountains will be lifted up and crushed with one blow, on that Day the Inevitable Event will have come to pass. The sky will then be so torn that it will be frail, with the angels on its sides. On that Day eight mighty angels will bear the Throne of your Lord above them. You will then be presented before Him for judgment, and none of your secrets will stay hidden.

Narrated Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ رضي الله عنه:
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb asked the permission of Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) to see him while some Quraishi women were sitting with him, talking to him and asking him for more expenses, raising their voices above the voice of Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ).
When ʿUmar asked for the permission to enter, the women quickly put on their veils. Allāh's Apostle allowed him to enter and ʿUmar came in while Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) was smiling, ʿUmar said "O Allāh's Messenger! May Allāh always keep you smiling."
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "These women who have been here, roused my wonder, for as soon as they heard your voice, they quickly put on their veils."
ʿUmar said, "O Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ)! You have more right to be feared by them than I."
Then ʿUmar addressed the women saying, "O enemies of yourselves! You fear me more than you do Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ)?"
They said, "Yes, for you are harsher and sterner than Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ)."
Then Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, “O, ibn al-Khaṭṭāb! By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Never does Satan find you going on a way, but he takes another way other than yours."
