Anyone else note one of the benefits of covid is empty or near empty waiting rooms at the doctor’s office? We have. Visits are much quicker these days. Don’t know the results of the ECG yet.
Felix continues to make improvements. However, he does struggle with balance, muscle weakness and pain, and neuropathy. He still has interrupted sleep, a bit of a foot drop and he cannot raise his right hand (like flip it up). Little by little I’m confident we’ll get there.
I wish I could thank each one of you in person for all you’ve done to lift us up. Your steadfastness in praying for us is simply priceless. Thank you.
And thank you to Alice for such an unbelievably, flattering, kind comment. I’m posting your message not because I think so highly of myself (we all know I’m a goofball) but because I had some fun with it. (In all seriousness, I appreciate the kind regard) 👇🏻

MEDICAL ADVANCES
• A small implant is providing huge relief to younger patients living with Parkinson’s disease, such that it could allow sufferers to pick up fine motor skills again. The operation involves inserting the tiny battery within the skull bone and running electrodes down into the center of the brain in the subthalamic nuclei. It then delivers delicate electrical impulses to help stimulate the unaligned neurons to fire correctly, thereby restoring some of the normal muscular function which Parkinson’s disturbs. This new method takes just three hours, and could be available for as many as 10% of all Parkinson’s patients

Good News May 6th, 2022 – May 13th, 2022 edition. As you scroll through the highlights, ask yourself if the Deep State were in charge, would this be allowed? Or would we even know about it? So while some news may not seem “good,” however it’s on the list because it is utterly fantastic it’s being exposed! Some of this will show us what we can expect coming down the pike, and perhaps some of this can be used to help wake up those we care about.

All in good humor 👆🏻 I actually have no interest in watching drama.
This weekend, please take time to mull over what Less is More would look like for your life, and how you could implement it. It's getting noisy out there. Let's make our homes all nice and cozy. A place of comfort. A place of warmth and happiness. A place filled with goodness and laughter.
Perhaps even a place of refuge for the lost, confused and hurting. A place that clearly expresses, "As for me and my house..."
Blessings Dearest Friends.

Hi.
I should be sleeping. It would certainly help my recovery process. Plus I have to take Felix to get an ECG in the morning.
You think I would be doing something useful right now like cleaning out the attic, mowing the lawn or making cookies. But, here I am, kicking it, researching, reading, watching from the outside. Can anyone relate? 👇🏻

Just gonna take a break from the challenges today as I need to work on feeling better. I’ll do this by working naps in between hollering for more saltine crackers and cough drops. Maybe more cow bell, too*
* A billion, hundred, million points if you get this reference
But I do have this:
Oh my stars! Have you seen this dolt?! Dontchya love that horrid people such as these look down their noses at us while their own family trees don’t fork? The Asterisk Family is proof positive that stupidity passes in utero 👇🏻

Opinions do not necessarily reflect the true heart of the speaker. Commentators offer their opinions because they want to bring you to their side. Some are more subtle than others. Some have a nefarious purpose, some have an honorable purpose, but the end goal is the same: it’s to cause a change in your perspective.
Is the person you’re looking into consistent with the values they tout? Do their ideas, beliefs and lifestyle conflict with God’s? With the constitution? With your own personal beliefs? Do they encourage beneficial discussions? Do their positions promote freedom of speech and association, private ownership and self-determination? Do they quickly shutdown contrary views? Do they do a 180 in their views without reasonable explanation? Are they really who they say they are? I cannot stress this enough: do their ideas, beliefs and lifestyle conflict with God’s and do they align themselves with those whose ideas, beliefs and lifestyles conflict with God’s? [This would include language, memes, humor, symbols, who they fraternize with, the organizations they promote.]
Turn-off the fluff, the noise, the ear tickling. Learn to read between the lines. Understand body language, voice fluctuations. Pay attention when the elephant in the room is deliberately ignored.
Is there something about an individual or an idea they are espousing sound off? Not quite right? Anti-God or anti-freedom? Maybe you can’t quite put your finger on it, but something…. Listen to your instincts! If you’re a person of faith, pray for guidance.
We have to research. Everything. Everyone. And the only way we are going to be effective at doing this is by implementing Challenge #1. It has to be God-directed.

Same with real life. Same with people, events and ideas.
On the one hand, keep an open mind; on the other hand, maintain a dubious inclination. Lean on your own instincts and trust your gut. Yes, sometimes we get it wrong. However, more often than not, our initial gut reaction (not our emotional reaction) is the correct one. For people of faith, we know what this is!
Ask as many questions as it takes to satisfy your curiosity. Look for patterns, look for the common denominator across many spectrums, even look for the opposite of what you believe. The latter will either solidify your own beliefs or get you to consider another viewpoint. As you read news stories and commentaries, note if they are able to offer evidence –real tangible, traceable, knowable evidence for their statements. Or note if they ask pointed questions to get your own wheels turning.
