In my area there is ginormous bi-annual kid’s consignment sale. I’ve been shopping it and selling items there for about 12 years. The last event was February 2020. Tomorrow I will be dropping off items for the sale coming up this week. I’ll be sure to let you know what the mood and turnout is like as I think moms are a good indicator of retail –even in the re-sale area.

In a July 16 decision it accused the online retailer of processing personal data in violation of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR. The decision concludes a probe started by a 2018 complaint from French privacy rights group La Quadrature du Net. “It’s a first step to see a fine that’s dissuasive, but we need to remain vigilant and see if the decision also includes an injunction to correct the infringing behavior,” said Bastien Le Querrec, a member of La Quadrature’s litigation team
• Criminal groups behind human trafficking and migrant smuggling have been hit hard in an operation coordinated by INTERPOL, with 286 suspects arrested worldwide. Law enforcement officials from 47 countries participated in Operation Liberterra. • Algerian authorities dismantling a smuggling group focusing on maritime routes to European coasts

• Home School Legal Defense Association is partnering with the Parental Rights Foundation in an effort to overturn a new District of Columbia law that undermines the constitutional right of parents to guide their children’s medical decisions. The Minor Consent Act “would allow a medical provider to administer vaccines to any child aged 11 or older if the medical provider decides the minor is mature enough to provide informed consent and if the vaccine is on the list of vaccines recommended by the United States Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.” The measure also states that neither parents nor their family’s physician are to be notified if a child chooses to be vaccinated—potentially bypassing important family medical history or even risking receiving duplicate vaccinations. Though the law does not deal specifically with homeschooling, HSLDA is concerned that if allowed to stand, it could erode one of the legal foundations for home education: parental rights

• According to data updated by the Illinois Department of Public Health, more than 150 people have died and nearly 600 have been hospitalized in Illinois due to COVID-19 in "breakthrough" cases after they were fully vaccinated [no pleasure in the deaths of our fellow Americans; hopefully this information is a wake-up call]

What if the push for mandated vaccinations is to get folks all riled up so our Benevolent Big Brother can then say, “All right, no compulsory vaccinations. Instead, y’all can wear masks, and maybe we’ll just work in a lockdown. See, we’re not totally unreasonable. We can compromise.”
And the folks who were gathering the pitch forks and torches put those down believing that they just negotiated a better deal.

“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8
Yes, it’s important to prepare so we can take care of our families and neighbors –even strangers. Of course, we don’t want to prep and not seek God through it all. Our spirit must be aligned with Him or everything is for naught.
"... in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." (1 Peter 3:15)

In the event of power outages and not having immediate access to medical care, you may wish to have a hard copy of “Where There Is No Doctor.” [I will post the free PDF copy]
This isn’t a first aid book like you might be used to, and you’ll probably want a couple of other references as well. Here's the description of the book from the introduction:
“This handbook has been written primarily for those who live far from medical centers, in places where there is no doctor. . . . guidelines are included not only for what to do, but for when to seek help. . . . But because doctors or health workers are not always nearby, the book also suggests what to do in the meantime — even for very serious problems.”

Good news will be posted later today!
In the meantime, please consider another aspect to taking of preps is taking care of our health needs.
Have you been putting off a doctor’s appointment? Do you need a prescription filled? Need contact lenses? A dental cleaning? Something checked out? Think about getting these issues taken care of sooner rather than later.
It’s prudent to have more than one pair of glasses, and extra contacts. You definitely wouldn’t want to be without those in the middle of a national crisis.
As you’re checking over your medial supplies, consider adding items such as:
- activated charcoal (preferably made from coconut shells)
- tea tree oil (gentle strength is quite powerful)
- peppermint oil (great as an insect repellant)
- witch hazel (all-around healing)
- cayenne powder (this is used in an emergency to help wound bleeding when you cannot get immediate medical help)
- sodium bicarbonate (preferably from a trusted source as the grocery store ones may have containments)
- Epsom salt
- Braggs apple cider vinegar (great for upset stomachs)
- food grade peroxide (cleansing, and this is digestible)
Have plenty of cotton balls, gauze and band-aids of varying sizes. Do you have wraps, ear ache drops, eye stops, anti-diarrhea meds, pain relief, non-sticks pads and tape, Neosporin, hydrocortisone, antihistamine, etc.?

You know those video montages showing everyone and their godmother in Hollywood giving a shout-out to Harvey Weinstein? I’m pretty sure they could have substituted satan’s name instead and no one would have noticed. Meh, maybe the devil would’ve objected 🤔
