Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “Do not carry the worries of this life because this is for Allāh. And do not carry the worries of sustenance because it is from Allāh. And do not carry anxiety for the future because it is in the Hands of Allāh. Carry one thing; pleasing Allāh. Because if you please Him, He pleases you, fulfils you and enriches you.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “The reason for which a servant of Allāh prays and feels encouraged to pray should be his intention to draw closer to Allāh; his love for Him, his wish to seek his pleasure and closeness; his compliance with His Command to pray; hence there is nothing from this worldly life that ever encourages him to pray. Rather, he prays only to seek the pleasure of his Lord the Most High whom he loves and fears, and whose reward and forgiveness he seeks.” [Heartfelt Advice to a Friend by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله]

📌 The pain of what has passed: Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله writes: “(The pain) of what has passed can not be removed by grieving over it, but only through: • Acceptance (i.e. being pleased with Allaah's Decree) (al-Ridhaa) • Gratitude (al-Hamd) • Patience (al-Sabr) • Faith in Predestination (al-Imaan bil-Qadr) and the saying of the slave: “It is the decree of Allāh and what He Wills, He Does” (قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ)." Allāh ﷻ says, مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ “Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life..." Sūrah An-Nahl 16: 97. How Can We Attain A Good Life? 1 - By giving charity. 2 - Perform all the obligatory acts 3 - Focus on purifying the heart from all diseases. 4 - Find comfort in worshipping Allāh in private. 5. Seek knowledge. One of the best ways to get closer to Allah azza wa jal is by spending your wealth in the path of Allah, and aiding those who are burdened with the trials of life. Allaah says that even if those oceans were ink for the Words of Allaah, and all the trees were pens, the pens would be broken and the water of the sea would run dry, and the Words of Allaah would remain, for nothing can outlast them. For no one can comprehend the greatness of Allaah or praise HIM as HE deserves to be praised, except the One Who praises Himself.

﷽ *Saying In Sha Allaah, while talking about future* Al-Kahf 18:23 وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَا۟ىْءٍ إِنِّى فَاعِلٌ ذَٰلِكَ غَدًا And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow," Al-Kahf 18:24 إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ Except [when adding], *"If Allaah wills."* And remember your Lord when you forget [it]. So, when you are planing for something which you're gonna do later in the future say “in sha'a Allaah.” Here Allaah shows the correct etiquette when determining to do something in the future; this should always be referred to the will of Allaah, the Knower of the Unseen, Who knows what was and what is yet to be and what is not to be, and how it will be if it is to be. A common misconception among us. We say In sha'a Allaah even for the du’ā.. That's totally wrong. *When you're doing a du’ā say Aaameen, not in sha'a Allaah.

The words of Qur’an have remained unchanged. Over the centuries Muslims and non Muslims alike have examined copies of Quran more than 1000 years old. They found that they are all identical, apart from the introduction of vowel marks in the 7th century CE. These marks were introduced to further guard the authenticity of Quran by demanding strict adherence to pronunciation rules. The preservation of the Qur’an is a tale of wonder and amazement. It is a testament of God’s love for humankind, a book of guidance and a source of comfort. Muslims around the globe bear witness that it is the divinely revealed words of God. Words from the Most Merciful to His slaves. From the moment it was revealed to Prophet Muhammad it has been protected and preserved by God Himself.

Protection from Envy Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “A protection from envy is giving charity and goodness as much as you are able. This has an amazing effect on repelling calamities, the evil eye, and the evil of envy. If there were nothing other than the experiences of the nations of old to prove this, it would be sufficient. The evil eye and envy are not close to harming the one who gives charity and does good towards the creation; and if it befalls him, it is easy, and his ending is praiseworthy. This is because his gratitude is a protection for his blessings. The envier's heart will not cool until the envied loses their blessing, and the slave does not protect his blessing with anything better than gratitude. In contrast, nothing exposes the blessing to becoming lost like ingratitude.” [One Hundred Pieces of Advice | Pg. 56]

The Tree of Sincerity 🌱 Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “A year is like a tree, the months are its boughs, the days are its branches, the hours are its leaves, and its breath is its fruit. Whoever's breath used to obey Allāh, the fruit of his tree will be good and pure. Whoever's breath used to disobey Allāh, his fruit will be evil. The time of harvest is on the Day of Resurrection, and at that time the fruit will be shown, whether it is sweet or sour.” [al-Fawā’id]
