07 📌 The pain of what has passed:
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله writes:
“(The pain) of what has passed can not be removed by grieving over it, but only through:
• Acceptance (i.e. being pleased with Allaah's Decree) (al-Ridhaa)
• Gratitude (al-Hamd)
• Patience (al-Sabr)
• Faith in Predestination
(al-Imaan bil-Qadr)
and the saying of the slave:
“It is the decree of Allāh and what He Wills, He Does” (قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ)."

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله wrote:
“There is nothing more harmful to the believer then letting his gaze free (looking at whatever he/she wants without restriction), for indeed it divides the heart and scatters his affairs, and causes dread between the slave and His Lord.”

12 Allāh ﷻ says,
مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life..." Sūrah An-Nahl 16: 97.
How Can We Attain A Good Life?
1 - By giving charity.
2 - Perform all the obligatory acts
3 - Focus on purifying the heart from all diseases.
4 - Find comfort in worshipping Allāh in private.
5. Seek knowledge.
One of the best ways to get closer to Allah azza wa jal is by spending your wealth in the path of Allah, and aiding those who are burdened with the trials of life.

*Saying In Sha Allaah, while talking about future*
Al-Kahf 18:23
وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَا۟ىْءٍ إِنِّى فَاعِلٌ ذَٰلِكَ غَدًا
And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,"
Al-Kahf 18:24
إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ
Except [when adding], *"If Allaah wills."* And remember your Lord when you forget [it].
So, when you are planing for something which you're gonna do later in the future say “in sha'a Allaah.”
Here Allaah shows the correct etiquette when determining to do something in the future; this should always be referred to the will of Allaah, the Knower of the Unseen, Who knows what was and what is yet to be and what is not to be, and how it will be if it is to be.
A common misconception among us.
We say In sha'a Allaah even for the du’ā.. That's totally wrong.

“A protection from envy is giving charity and goodness as much as you are able. This has an amazing effect on repelling calamities, the evil eye, and the evil of envy. If there were nothing other than the experiences of the nations of old to prove this, it would be sufficient.
The evil eye and envy are not close to harming the one who gives charity and does good towards the creation; and if it befalls him, it is easy, and his ending is praiseworthy. This is because his gratitude is a protection for his blessings.
The envier's heart will not cool until the envied loses their blessing, and the slave does not protect his blessing with anything better than gratitude. In contrast, nothing exposes the blessing to becoming lost like ingratitude.”
