Risk Management Before Opportunity
Most traders don’t lose because of bad setups.
They lose because they risk differently on every trade.
Example using a $10,000 account risking 1% per trade:
Total risk = $100 maximum loss per trade
• If Stop Loss = 10 pips → 1.00 lot = 1% risk ($100)
• If Stop Loss = 15 pips → 0.67 lot = 1% risk (~$100)
• If Stop Loss = 20 pips → 0.50 lot = 1% risk ($100)
Notice what changed?
Not the risk. Only the lot size.
This is how professionals stay alive.
One loss doesn’t destroy progress because every trade carries controlled exposure.
Track your growth. Protect capital. Stay consistent.
And one more thing…
When the market doesn’t provide setups or gives very few opportunities… sit on your hands.
No trade is a position.
Forcing entries because you want action is expensive.
Some days your best trade is patience.
