اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ فِي (فلان/فلانة) خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي، وَإِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ شَرُّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أمْرِي فاصْرفهُ عَنَيْ وَاصْرفنِي عَنْهُ -وَاقْدُرْالِيّ الخَيْرَ حَيْتُ كَانَ تُمَّ أَرْضِني بِهِ. Transliteration: Allahumma in kãna fi (fulan/fulanah) khayrun li fi dini wa ma’āshi wa ‘āqibati amri faqdurhu li wa yassirhu li, wa in käna fihi sharrun li fi dini wa ma’āshi wa ‘āqibati amri fasrifhu ‘anni wasrifni ‘anhu, waqdur li al-khayra haythu kãna thumma ardini bih. Meaning: “O Allah, if (so-and-so) is good for me in my religion, my worldly life, and the outcome of my affairs, then decree him/her for me and make it easy for me. But if he/she is bad for me in my religion, worldly life, and the outcome of my affairs, then turn him/her away from me and turn me away from him/her, and decree for me what is good wherever it may be, and make me pleased with it.”
