St.Mary's University

St. Mary’s University has actively engaged in community development by allocating funds for essential infrastructure and resources. The university recently contributed 500,000 Birr for the construction of Woreda 10 community police station, which will serve as a cornerstone for local safety and community assistance. In addition to this, the university has provided a computer and its accessories, valued at 60,000 Birr. Recognizing the importance of infrastructure for economic growth and community well-being, the University has also donated 450,000 Birr towards the construction of a cobblestone road in Burayou town. This road is expected to improve connectivity, enhance trade, and provide a durable solution to transportation challenges in the area. These contributions by St. Mary’s University highlight its commitment to the betterment of the community and its dedication to supporting local development initiatives.

The Ministry of Education's CEO for Research & Community Engagement Affairs conducted a workshop on June 22, 2024 at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University with the aim of enhancing research and community engagement capabilities across higher education institutions.Participants explored their research challenges and achievements, exchanged strategies for securing funding, and emphasized the significance of collaboration between institutions.St. Mary’s university attended the workshop.

The Human Resource Management Office of St. Mary’s University organized a session on June 18, 2024, at the Main Campus, Syndicate Room for middle-level managements. The aim of the session was to raise awareness about important issues, including employee performance appraisals, job rotation, delays in information exchange, responses to HRM requests, and working time attendance.
