Hadith on Ashura: Recommendation to fast the day of Ashura Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Ashura is a day among the days of Allah. Whoever wishes to fast may do so, and whoever wishes to break his fast may do so.” [Source: S‌ah‌i‌h‌ Muslim 1126 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim] عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ عَاشُورَاءَ يَوْمٌ مِنْ أَيَّامِ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ صَامَهُ وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ 1126 صحيح مسلم كتاب الصيام باب صوم يوم عاشوراء @dailydawah (telegram)

Whoever has wronged his brother: It was narrated by Abū Hurayrah (raḍiyAllāhu 'anhu) from the Prophet (ﷺ) that he said: "Whoever has wronged his brother, whether in regards to wealth or honour, should ask for his pardon before he pays for it [in the Afterlife] when he will have neither a dirham nor a dīnār. If he had any good deeds they will be taken and given to the one whom he wronged, or the bad deeds of the one whom he wronged will be loaded on to him."³² If the person being backbitten is not aware of the backbiter, the backbiter should ask Allāh's pardon and forgiveness, so that the person will not be made aware of what he has done [regarding his right]. Don't forget to fast the day of Ashura 16 July (Tuesday): In the Hadith narrated by Imam Muslim, the Prophet ﷺ said: "I hope from Allah that fasting on the day of ‘Ashura’ may be an expiation for the sins of the previous year.”. So whoever's fast is accepted, Allah the Exalted will by His Grace and His Mercy forgive his sins of the past year. This is a great opportunity that you shouldn't miss. @dailydawah (telegram)

Pay attention to small acts of goodness: Imaam Ahmad (رحمه الله) reported from Abu Juray al-Hujaymi (رضي الله عنه) who said: “I came to the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah, we are a desert people. Teach us something by which Allaah, may He be blessed and exalted, will benefit us.’ He (ﷺ) said: ‘Do not look down on any act of goodness, even if it is just emptying your bucket into the vessel of one who wants to drink, or speaking to your brother with a cheerful expression.’” [Musnad Ahmad, 5/63; as-Silsilat as-Saheehah, 1352] If someone comes wanting to drink from the well, and you lift up your bucket and empty it for him, this is a good deed; even though it appears insignificant, you should not think little of it. The same applies to greeting your brother with a cheerful expression, and cleaning dirt and garbage from the mosque, even if it is as small as a straw. This deed may be the cause of your sins being forgiven, for Allaah The Almighty will appreciate good deeds of this nature and will forgive sins because of them. @dailydawah (telegram)

Reciting the last two verses of Soorat al-Baqarah every night: It was narrated that Abu Mas’ood al-Badri (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The last two verses of Soorat al-Baqarah, whoever recites them at night, they will be sufficient for him.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4008; Muslim, 807] al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “With regard to the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ‘they will be sufficient for him,’ it was said that it means they will suffice instead of praying qiyaam al-layl; and it was said, they will suffice him against the Shaytaan, or against harm. It may be understood as meaning all of these things.’”  @dailydawah (telegram)

Sending ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday is better than on the rest of the days, and its night (Thursday night) is the best of nights. He ﷺ said, “Among the best of your days is Friday, so frequently send ṣalāh upon me therein.” Sheikh Abdel Aziz AlTarefe (may Allah free him) @dailydawah (telegram)
