The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the most dangerous regimes in the world today. It gives billions a year to terrorist groups like Hamas — which in turn, helped fund the October attack on Israeli civilians. The regime violently oppresses its own citizens too — as we saw in 2022 when a young Iranian woman was beaten and killed by its so-called “morality police.” It’s no wonder, then, that more than 200-thousand Iranians have fled their homeland for Canada. But when they arrive, many of them quickly learn that the long arm of the Islamic Republic reaches all the way here. The New Reality reveals exclusive and alarming details about a growing danger to Canada’s security. Human rights activists, along with legal and security experts, tell us that Canada has a big problem with hundreds, potentially thousands of regime-connected officials operating in this country. And, if Canada does not act, one expert warns, “the smoking gun will be the dead body of an Iranian-Canadian.” Negar Mojtahedi reports. For more info, please go to

And to make matters worse, our minds can deceive us when it comes to happiness, leading us to chase things that won't make us happy in the long run. To solve for this, Yale psychology professor Laurie Santos recommends a set of practices, dubbed "re-wirements.” These practices include prioritizing social connection, being other-oriented, focusing on gratitude and blessings, and incorporating exercise into our daily routine. By understanding the common pitfalls of our thinking and adopting new behaviors, we can achieve true happiness, and make it last. For Santos, happiness isn’t just a state: it’s an ongoing practice.
