I tell you a secret. If I go to the market and get a paid job now, I will get a $20,000-a-month fixed salary and a $20,000-a-month as a bonus minimum, because I can earn 2-3x of ~$500,000 cost for the company. BUT I work and worked for $1,500 a month at IMAN for the last 4.5 years for the sake of humanity. Like no one else I know that a $1500-a-month salary is more than enough for anyone to live a quality life full of baraka, including me and my family. "You can only eat one breakfast at a time". But if you are my friend, dear developer, or a C-level guy, not ready to sacrifice counter-offer from some other zero-impact firm - don't even try to approach our team. I eventually fire people when they approach with $500+ counter-offer from other firms just to get a raise. People get a raise when they deserve with their sweat and blood, not when they get counter-offer or when they ask for it. That's exactly what differentiates you, me, and my C-suite. It's a $500,000 sacrifice on my level or $500 on your level, does not matter. Now, I only accept to the team those who are willing to sacrifice and are long-term motivated, who live and die for the sake of humanity, not for the sake of personal or family goals. Not in words but in actions. So, the secret is this: to everyone who changes faith-driven firms to profit-oriented zero-impact firms only for money, be peace upon you. You are spiritually dead.
