Hello cheeky koalas! 🐨
Let’s be real. Upper Sec Chemistry is no joke. It can be lowkey traumatising when you don’t understand concepts, and start memorising answer keys instead 😰😰
But what if we told you that you don’t have to spend hours poring over Chemistry textbooks to get your A1?? All you have to do is log in (or lock in 😏) to our webinar tomorrow and steal tips from our amazing Chemistry expert-teacher (psst…she has the most adorable dog ever that might make an appearance tomorrow 😌)
Not convinced?? Just join us and get a taste of what we have to offer. We promise that we’re low-cortisol folks; no pressure, just vibes 😎

Hello cheeky koalas! 🐨
Are you still struggling with difficult chemical formulae while others seem to be dancing through life? Let’s try to change that today!
Watch this video above to learn how to write the chemical formulae of 3 compounds that students often lose brain cells over 🫨
Tips:
- use the “cross” method (illustrated in the video above!)
- original charges of the ions are not written in the final chemical formulae
- for polyatomic ions, ensure that you bracket these ions in the final chemical formulae
Jiayouss for your revision! 💪💪

"⚡ Common Energy Formulae (Sec 2 Science)
These formulas are frequently tested — don’t miss them! 👇
👉 Kinetic Energy (KE) = ½mv²
👉 Potential Energy (PE) = mgh
👉 Work Done (W) = F × d
💡 Remember:
• Use correct units (kg, m/s, m, N)
• Don’t mix up the formulas!
❗ Common mistake: using the wrong formula for the question
🎥 Watch this short video to understand better:

🔥 Master these = easy marks in exams!"
Hello everyone!
TLDR: the metal ions that have Roman numerals in the names of their compounds 😯
Lead (II)/(IV)*
Iron (II)/(III)*
Copper (I)/(II)*
*depending on question context
‼️ Note that you will be MARKED DOWN if you do not write these Roman numerals in the names of LIC ions in compounds! 🫣🫣

Many Upper Sec students realise too late that Chemistry is not about memorising — it’s about knowing how to answer exam questions correctly.
That’s why we designed our ✨Upper Secondary Chemistry March School Holiday Crash Course💛 to help students strengthen both key concepts and exam answering techniques.
During the programme, students will:
✔ Reinforce high-weightage Chemistry topics
✔ Practise exam-style questions commonly tested in schools
✔ Learn answering techniques examiners look out for
✔ Strengthen application skills for structured questions
For Sec 4 students especially, this serves as an extra revision and boost as they prepare for O-Level Chemistry.
✨ Early Bird Price (as stated in brochure)
👯 10% Buddy Discount for each student when signing up together

Classes are kept small so students can receive guidance while practising exam questions.
WAKE UP, IT’S MARCH EVERYONE!! ☀️🐥
Suuuuuper late, but blessed CNY to those who celebrate! To those who don’t, we still hope that you had a wonderful holiday to relax and recharge 🍾🍊🍊
Let’s MARCH ourselves forward and continue the ‘Chemical Formulae Writing’ series!! 🤩🤩
TLDR: common metal ions to remember 🎸
- Zinc: Zn²⁺
- Silver: Ag⁺
- Lead: Pb²⁺ OR Pb⁴⁺ (depends on question context!)
- Iron: Fe²⁺ OR Fe³⁺ (depends on question context!)
- Copper: Cu⁺ OR Cu²⁺ (depends on question context!)
REMINDER: the charges for these metal ions will NOT be found in the Periodic Table‼️

Hello cheeky koalas! 🐨
WE ASKED, AND YOU ANSWERED 📣📣
In our recent poll, the majority was crashing out over the “go through metal ions” option 🫨 so let’s do it right now!!
TLDR: chemical formulae writing for metals 😄
METALS lose electrons to form POSITIVE ions (literal opposite of non-metals ◡̈)
Group 1 metals —> have 1 valence electron —> lose 1 valence electron to be stable —> forming ions of + charge!
Group 2 metals —> have 2 valence electrons —> lose 2 valence electrons to be stable —> forming ions of 2+ charge!
Group 13 metals —> have 3 valence electrons —> lose 3 valence electrons to be stable —> forming ions of 3+ charge
