[Forwarded from Dr. Nakul R] FORCE - Forum of Civil Engineering and Department of Civil Engineering, Presidency University, Bangalore in association with Medini is organizing a Webinar on “BIM - A Process Transforming the Construction Industry”. Building information modeling is an intelligent 3D model-based process supported by various tools and technologies involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of buildings. India is becoming a prime destination for Building Information Modelling (BIM) outsourcing or work-sharing for global countries and the government of India through the ‘National Program and Project Management Policy Framework‛ (NPMPF) has also stressed on the use of BIM in all Infrastructure projects executed in India. Join us virtually on Thursday, 15 July 2021 at 02:00PM to learn more about the potentials of BIM in transforming the construction industry which will be illustrated with live demonstrations on the applications of BIM. 👨‍💼 Resource Person: Mr. Pradeep Kumar Kallur Director, Medini 🌐 Registration Link: https://bit.ly/PUFORCEBIM Registration is mandatory if you wish to receive the e-certificates for participation Note: E-Certificate will be issued to registered active participants. (Do remember to post your queries regarding BIM if you have any) 💻📱Meeting Platform: Microsoft Teams 🗓 Date: 15 July 2021 (Thursday) 🕑 Time: 2:00 PM onwards About the Speaker Mr. Pradeep Kumar Kallur is the Founder Managing Director of Medini, Bangalore. He holds a degree Civil Engineer and has a Master’s in Business Administration. He is a visiting faculty member at several HEI’s including BMS School of Architecture, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru and RV College of Architecture. He is a member of the independent expert committee for evaluating the solutions/courses of National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT), AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India. He is an Autodesk Certified Professional Trainer in REVIT and AUTOCAD. He has worked with many of the private and government organizations for their interior and exterior designs & BIM involved projects. He has led a team to train over 2600 students online during the pandemic. About Building Information Modelling (BIM) Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to efficiently plan, design, manage construction and report on infrastructure projects. BIM data permits design, clash detection, sequencing, scheduling, and cost monitoring on a multi-dimensional model interface. BIM work-sharing in India has become the first choice for overseas based companies like General Contractors, Design Consultants, Architects and Developers. Apart from companies in the AEC sector, many others such as HCL, Wipro, Accenture and TATA are providing BIM services. BIM services outsourced to Indian companies include 3D BIM Services, Scan to BIM services, Drawing Production, Virtual Reality, 4D Construction sequencing, 5D Cost Integration and Facility Management. These services make the future look promising, thus, making India a prime destination for BIM outsourcing or work-sharing for global countries. The government of India through the ‘National Program and Project Management Policy Framework‛ (NPMPF) and the Indian Infrastructure Body of Knowledge (InBoK) has also stressed on the use of BIM in all Infrastructure projects executed in India. The framework launched by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India and Quality Council of India on 28 October 2020 says use of BIM will ensure timely completion of the projects within its costs and resources as well as ensure and less negative impact on the environment.
