केंद्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों के लिए महंगाई भत्ते (डीए) में 2% की नई बढ़ोतरी को कैबिनेट की मंजूरी मिल गई है। महंगाई भत्ते की दर अब 58 प्रतिशत से बढ़कर 60 प्रतिशत हो गई है। यह बढ़ोतरी 1 जनवरी 2026 से लागू होगी। केंद्रीय मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कैबिनेट की बैठक के बाद हुई प्रेस ब्रीफिंग में यह जानकारी दी है। इस फैसले से 50 लाख केंद्रीय कर्मियों और 69 लाख पेंशनरों के महंगाई भत्ते/महंगाई राहत मिली है।

लोकसभा में 850 सीटों पर होगा चुनाव, प्रस्ताव लोकसभा में
केंद्र सरकार ने लोकसभा सीटों की संख्या बढ़ाने से जुड़ा प्रस्ताव रखा है। प्रस्तावित योजना के अनुसार लोकसभा की कुल सीटें बढ़ाकर करीब 850 की जा सकती हैं। इनमें से लगभग 815 सीटें राज्यों के लिए और 35 सीटें केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के लिए तय करने का प्रस्ताव बताया जा रहा है। यह बदलाव आगामी परिसीमन प्रक्रिया के तहत किया जाएगा, ताकि बढ़ती जनसंख्या के अनुसार प्रतिनिधित्व बढ़ाया जा सके और भविष्य के चुनाव नई सीटों पर कराए जा सकें।
