Why Hindus should Memorise Chaim Herzog's 1976 Speech at the UN
Why and how Israel attracts global solidarity each time it's attacked and what Hindus can and should learn from it.
---
As an Indian, even I stand in full solidarity with Israel. But as a Hindu and an inheritor of the greatest civilisation that humankind has ever created, this episode has once again raised some questions that have both haunted and amazed me from an early age.
1 Israel and India began roughly around the same time after the European colonization of the world ended. India became free in 1947. Israel was created in 1948.
2 Thus, for about three fourths of a century, all the way till now, the world has always stood by Israel. Why?
3 The simple and straightforward answer: Israel was not cursed with a Nawab Nehru. It has never forgotten or compromised with its core — that Israel was explicitly created as a home for the Jewish people and for safeguarding and preserving the Jewish religion. And it has accomplished both through a time-tested method: Strength. Building up strength constantly. And deploying it unapologetically.
4 Strength in India’s case would have entailed a full population exchange in 1947. We missed that bus back then, and now, look what we have been saddled with for 75 years.

The Universal Parallels Between Vrtrasura’s Story and the Nehruvian Legacy
Exploring the parallels, symbolism and universality of the timeless Vedic story of Vrtrasura and Indra
---
Vr̥trā’s story works at multiple levels. As universal symbolism, it is has few parallels. As a literary metaphor, it has stood the test of time. Above all, its kernel contains a profound Darshana.
Vr̥trā literally means “enveloper,” “obstacle,” “cover,” “darkness,” “absence of natural light,” etc. The Veda has the synonym Ahi for Vr̥trā. Ahi means a fearsome, venomous snake.
TO THE “MODERN” MIND mired hopelessly in “reality,” this story might sound laughable and ridiculous. But the truths and lessons that it contains are universal and have eternal relevance.
The Svarga-Loka can be roughly taken as a metaphorical expression of Rta or the invisible Cosmic Order. By deceitfully killing Vr̥tra, Indra no doubts commits a crime but that crime serves to maintain the Cosmic Order. Yet he is only too aware of his guilt and embarks on Tapas as a form of repentance.
The fate of the Svarga-Loka after Indra’s abdication and Nahusha’s ignoble exit also provides superb insights into the nature of anarchy. When the Cosmic Order is itself thrown into disorder, it consumes everything. Which is the underlying tenor of the horrifying descriptions of the human world.

The Enduring Heritage of the Hindu Legal System in Bali and Java
This is the first episode of a new series exploring the lasting impact of the Hindu Legal System in Southeast Asia, focussed on Bali and Java
---
The Indian colonies in the Far East must ever remain as the high-water mark of maritime and colonial enterprise of the ancient Indians… It was the mission of Indian colonists to bring the heterogeneous mass … within the pale of civilisation, a task which the Chinese, their next-door neighbour, had hitherto failed to accomplish…
The political conquest of Farther India and the adjacent islands was rapidly followed by a complete cultural conquest. The local people readily assimilated the new civilisation and adopted the religion, art, social manners and customs, alphabet, literature, laws and administrative systems of the conquerors.
The Hindu cultural conquest of Southeast Asia remains unprecedented and unique in the history of human civilisation. For 1300 years, there was an unbroken cultural bond between India and Southeast Asia.
The most glaring proof of cultural and social triumph is when the colonised country refashions its legal system on the model brought in the alien invader.

If the "Mahatma" myth had not been created around Gandhi, it is doubtful whether a single dynasty would've been able to rule over such a vast nation & the most ancient, non-Abrahamic civilisation uninterruptedly for 40 years.

The Unstoppable Ascent of Kasim Razvi
This episode narrates the unending intrigues of the Nizam Mir Osman Ali against merging Hyderabad into the Indian Union and how he gives unlimited power to Kasim Razvi.
---
Ever heard the name of Bahadur Yar Jung?
He was the person who originally seeded the idea of maintaining Hyderabad as a separate Islamic country ruled exclusively by the Sharia. His close circle of friends included Allama Iqbal and Muhammad Ali Jinnah and both admired his zeal for propagating the “Pakistan movement.”
This is how Pakistan has honoured Bahadur Yar Jung:
1. The Bahadurabad locality in Karachi is named in his honour, complete with a replica of the Hyderabad Charminar. After Partition, this area housed the Muslims who migrated to Pakistan from Hyderabad.
2. The Bahadur Yar Jung Library and Bahadur Yar Jung Academy are named in his memory.
3. As recently as 1990, the Pakistani Postal department released a stamp celebrating him in its Pioneers of Freedom series.
Bahadur Yar Jung was the founder of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM).
His grandson Mohammad Moazam Khan was first elected as an MLA in 2004 from the Bahadurpura constituency on the AIMIM ticket.
There’s a fundamental lesson in this for the Hindu community — of doggedly sustaining ancestry and land and political power.

*How Bakhtiyar Khalji Physically Erased Gauda-Desa*

The obliteration was so exhaustive that Gaur was physically erased from existence. Nothing remained there to indicate the traces of its flourishing Sanatana past. Read and weep. 🙏🕉️🕉️

Excerpts from Kasim Razvi’s Bigoted Speech in Hyderabad, Circa March 31, 1948
Kasim Razvi's speech dated March 31, 1948 in Hyderabad was an open call to the Muslim community to launch a Jihad against the new Union Government of India.
----
Just like how the Moplah genocide of Malabar Hindus was successfully whitewashed and distorted, the full story of the industrial-scale Hindu genocide committed by the Razakars — Kasim Razvi’s personal militia of barbarians — is hardly told in mainstream narratives in Andhra and Telangana itself.
Here are some excerpts from his fanatical speech:
"Hyderabad is an Islamic State. The Indian Union is trying to wipe out this Muslim rule from the Deccan.
We have been ruling the Deccan for the last 800 years and we shall rule it whether the Indian Union likes it or not.
"Power has come to the hands of the Indian Union after one thousand years. They are not capable of ruling. That is the reason why they lost it to the Muslims."

Gleanings from Five Years of The Dharma Dispatch
Today is the fifth anniversary of The Dharma Dispatch. A few notes on our journey so far.
---
The five-year-long journey of The Dharma Dispatch has been a perennial source of joy. Joy, which we hope we have been able to transmit to our readership — the mainstay that empowers and sustains our work.
The current state of the Hindu civilisation is akin to a beautiful garment that has been rent to its bare threads and has to be re-stitched all over again. These threads are actually microcosms embodying the Sanatana civilisational values that we have either forgotten or lost or both.
It has been our active quest to discover all such threads and by showing a glimpse of the microcosm, we hope to weave at least a handkerchief that might wipe a tear or weave a sweater that might warm a shivering soul.
To what extent The Dharma Dispatch has succeeded in this endeavour is for our readers to judge.
--
So, a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our readers for being our companions in this sacred civilisational journey!

How the Liberation of Hyderabad Aborted a Pakistan in the South
The first episode of a new series analysing the historical importance of the liberation of Hyderabad
---
The story of the liberation of Hyderabad illustrates a familiar historical phenomenon which is rooted in a psyche which travelled to Bharatavarsha with Muhammad Bin Qasim’s raid, congealed during the Mughal rule and created Pakistan in the 20th century.
Pakistan is the only Islamic state which was won not through traditional warfare but through street violence and… Mohandas Gandhi.
The other facet of this historical phenomenon tells us that among all the Muslim-ruled Princely States, only Hyderabad, the last remnant of the Mughal Empire, was fully dissolved on November 1, 1956!

The Hindu Civilisational Dimensions of the Uniform Civil Code
A Uniform Civil Code is not merely a legislative matter but a civilisational imperative for the Hindu society
---
The ongoing narratives around the UCC ignore a point that should have ideally occupied the centrestage: the near-total destruction of the Hindu society through legislation.
Today, the Hindu society has become unrecognisable from what it had been say, even fifty years ago. And this destruction has been achieved by vilifying and vandalising its core values which had been reinforced by beliefs, customs, rituals and practices. The bloodiest assault has been against the Hindu family system.
Overall, the Hindu society has pretty much lost emotional access to its own culture and civilisation. And all this has happened majorly through legislation.
