Eloquence isn't a gift, it's a skill (7% words, 33% voice, 55% body language). Here are the key points to transform your communication:
📌 THE 6 PILLARS OF ELOQUENCE:
Structure (Rule of 3): Never speak without knowing where you're going. Divide your ideas into 3 points (Past/Present/Future or Problem/Solution/Result).
Living Vocabulary: Precision beats complexity. Replace vague words ("thing," "good") with words that tell a story ("relieved," "remarkable").
Voice (The Instrument): Speak from your diaphragm, slow down your pace, and use silence to assert your power.
Active Listening: Wait 2 seconds after the other person has finished speaking before responding. This instantly makes you seem more mature and thoughtful.
Figures of Speech: Use metaphors ("It's like...") and rhetorical questions to make your ideas stick in people's minds.
Presence: Be fully present. Practice meditation to reduce anxiety and put your phone down during conversations.
🚫 THE 4 SABOTEURS TO ELIMINATE:
Over-explaining: Say what's essential, then be silent.
Blocking words: Eliminate "um," "so," and "like." Silence commands attention.
Quantity vs. Quality: Speak concisely, not excessively.
Ignoring your body: Your posture speaks before your words. Stand up straight (with your shoulders open).
🛠️ DAILY EXERCISES:
🎤 Daily Practice
The "3-Point" Pitch: Choose a topic and summarize it in 2 minutes, structured exclusively in 3 parts (e.g., Past/Present/Future).
Theatrical Reading: Read any text for 10 minutes a day, exaggerating emotions, pauses, and pace.
Self-Feedback: Record yourself and listen back to your performances to identify your quirks and strengths.
🧠 Mind & Presence
Meditation (10 min): Practice mindfulness to strengthen your concentration and reduce social anxiety.
Safe Silence: Force yourself to wait 2 seconds before responding to someone to appear more composed.
🛠️ Immediate Corrections
Word Hunt: Keep a notebook and replace every vague word (thing, stuff, nice) with a precise and descriptive term.
Parasitic Word Detector: Ask a friend or family member to point out every "uh," "so," or "like" to help you get rid of them by being silent.
Power Posture: Stand tall with your shoulders open for 2 minutes before any important interaction.
