ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ "ਉੱਦਮਤਾ" ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉੱਦਮਤਾ" ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਦਮੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਲੱਭਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
