[HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY ELECTIVE DEVELOPMENTS] In the pursuit of quality education that aims to expand socio-political learning across the Lasallian community, the University Student Government (USG), with the support of Arts College Government (ACG), has successfully presented the proposal on the institutionalization of a course elective centered on human rights and democracy during the Martial Law period. Last August 12, the USG and ACG released an interest check survey for a Martial Law course elective which garnered support from 630 students. After consultations with the College of Liberal Arts Dean, and the Departments of History, Filipino, and Political Science and Development Studies, the USG and ACG will now be working on the course design of the Human Rights and Democracy elective together with the appropriate university offices and units.
