^USD melemah terhadap mata uang lainnya setelah anggota dewan Gubernur The Fed, Christopher Waller, mengatakan bahwa ia memilih untuk mempertahankan suku bunga tidak berubah selama inflasi terus melambat.
^JPY menguat tajam terhadap USD, sempat menyentuh level 155-an perUSDnya, setelah para pelaku pasar semakin yakin mengenai aksi lanjutan dari BOJ dengan menaikkan suku bunga mereka. JPY menguat untuk hari kedua berturut-turut dimulai dengan adanya tanda-tanda intervensi oleh pihak otoritas dan juga mempertimbangkan prospek akan dilakukannya kebijakan pengetatan yang lebih agresif oleh BOJ dalam tahun ini.
^Rupiah ditutup menyentuh level terkuatnya dalam 15 minggu terakhir terhadap USD, dilevel 17600-an perUSDnya. Penguatan Rupiah ini mulai berlangsung sehari setelah Destry Damayanti resmi diambil sumpahnya sebagai Gubernur BI yang baru menggantikan Perry Warjiyo. Destry mengatakan bahwa BI akan terus mencermati era dimana inflasi, suku bunga dan imbal hasil obligasi di negara-negara maju bertahan tinggi lebih lama dari perkiraan sebelumnya.

#PANIN NEWS DAN KURS
^JPY menguat tajam terhadap USD, hal mana membuat para pelaku pasar tetap waspada terhadap tanda-tanda bahwa pihak otoritas akan mengambil langkah lebih jauh untuk mendukung nilai tukar JPY.
^Anggota Dewan BOJ, Hajime Takata, mendorong pendekatan yang fleksibel, tergantung data, untuk menaikkan suku bunga, dan ia memperingatkan bahwa inflasi semakin mendekati ke target 2% dan risiko terlalu tinggi terus naik. Sementara itu, Gubernur Kazuo Ueda, menekankan bahwa para pembuat kebijakan akan terus menaikkan suku bunga setelah kondisi keuangan tetap akomodatif.
^Bank Sentral New Zealand (RBNZ) menaikkan suku bunga mereka sebesar 0.25% menjadi 2.75% kemarin, namun hal tersebut tidak membuat NZD menguat terhadap USD. RBNZ menaikkan suku bunga sebagai usaha untuk mengendalikan tekanan inflasi, sementara menegaskan komitmen mereka untuk mengembalikan tingkat inflasi ke kisaran target 1%-3%.
