Spirit Halloween "DOG FURRY MASK" first impressions 👻🐶 I was expecting worse tbh. For the price, it's a great introductory fursuit! Sharing my thoughts as images instead because the long text wall was driving me crazy (thoughts on artist burn out, goals, general life craziness)

OH One last thing, I know artist burnout can sound alarming, but I want to reassure everyone that I’m still actively working through my queue. I have a strong commitment to my business ethics and honoring my commitments to clients. That said, life has thrown some curveballs this past week (a family death, my car was stolen ((i'm extremely devastated))and I might have bronchitis??) so I’m taking a bit of extra time for necessary appointments, phone calls, and self-care. But I’m still making steady progress and pushing forward as best I can. I really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time! ^_^

There are so many other creative ventures I’m eager to explore in my career like vending at conventions, 3D modeling (I have a large printer sitting here that I haven’t been able to use much because I can’t find time to learn), fashion design, merch production, illustration work, just to name a few of my passions. All of these require significant time investment that I simply don’t have right now as all my time is spent fulfilling custom orders. My hope is that by taking time to streamline my processes with new technology and tools, custom orders in the long run will become more manageable while also creating space to explore these other passions. I need to work smarter so I can sustain this long term and continue growing creatively.

Working on a new reference sheet for Opal Mutt! Wanted to share something that’s been on my mind. This year has been particularly tough creatively. I’ve been dealing with serious burnout from commission work, and it’s made me depressed and question my career path nearly every day. This year I took on a small batch of digital commissions, and even that handful completely drained my ability to draw for at least a month. It highlighted how much I need to prioritize personal work and take advantage of inspiration when it strikes. I also haven’t made time to create a personal fursuit for myself. It’s bittersweet being so immersed in the craft professionally but i'm unable to truly enjoy it or engage much with the fandom as a hobby. I’ve lowered the amount of comms I take at a time, but I think I need to make even more changes. Still figuring out what that looks like, but I’m committed to finding a sustainable balance so I can keep creating art for years to come. Thanks for being part of this journey ^_^
