New post on /r/flutterdev subreddit: Website with app challenges to enhance your skills? Hey guys,I'm new to flutter and currently working through Dart and Flutter: The Complete Developer's Guide By Stephen Grider and i was wondering if there is a website that has compiled coding challenges / challenge apps to build so you can practice what you have learned. I know I'm very new to the framework and not necessarily ready to build things on my own but would like to start working through challenges/puzzles so all this becomes second nature faster.Cheers and happy coding! :) August 31, 2021 at 05:11AM by hmblhstl https://ift.tt/3t21NYk

New post on /r/flutterdev subreddit: How to generate Widget source code from runtime List of Widgets Hi guys, I am just new to Flutter but I found it a very interesting framework to learn and code. I am working on a side project idea that allow users to build form via drag and drop with Flutter Web and allow users to download the form in source code, so I need to able to generate source code from the runtime List<Widget>.What are the proper approaches to do that? Are there any plugin already done that so I don't reinvent the wheel?Much appreciate any help from everyone. August 31, 2021 at 06:05AM by yenngvp88 https://ift.tt/3gOt5wB

New post on /r/flutterdev subreddit: top-down or bottom-up development with Freezed, Riverpod As a novice imitating open source projects and learning from books, tutorials, I am realizing that bottom up development is better. That way I can run `flutter pub run build_runner build --delete-conflicting-outputs`, get all my parts, from `part 'product.freezed.dart';` or "g" and not have red squigglies everywhere as I move up the n-tiers. Can some intermediates ~ experts weigh in here? I have never worked with code gen before coming mostly from Python. August 31, 2021 at 12:11AM by webNoob13 https://ift.tt/3BpYQnv

Chris is responsible for the end-to-end development experience, as well as tooling, the package ecosystem, and the desktop platform support.Flutter on the desktop is getting more popular day every day, though it is (unsurprisingly) behind mobile and web in popularity. Flutter's desktop support allows you to compile Flutter source code to a native Windows, macOS, or Linux desktop app.We also talked about the Flutter Favorite program: The aim of the Flutter Favorite program is to identify packages and plugins that you should first consider when building your app. Chris explained what metrics they consider, how the Flutter Ecosystem Committee works,  and the quality standards that a Flutter Favorite package has to pass. The outstanding Flutter development experience also relies on the community. Chris highlighted various projects, including detective.dev, Codemagic's improved desktop features, and FlutterFlow.Chris also shared what his typical day as a Product Manager is like, how usability studies work, and how different packages' ergonomics can be evaluated.
