It's been a while since we checked out an independent Linux distribution. Adélie Linux sounds interesting.
It's FOSS is 12 years old now 🍾
In this video, I share how I replaced the existing Ubuntu with a fresh new Ubuntu without disturbing the dual boot setup. Here's the scenario: I had a Ubuntu Windows dual boot set up. This one was installed around 3-4 years ago. Since then, I updated Ubuntu to the newer versions as they were available. Which means going from Ubuntu 22.04 to 22.10 to 23.04 to 23.10 to 24.04. The version upgrades were done through Ubuntu's update manager, from within the operating system. After several upgrade from within the system, I feel that the system is a bit bloated so I thought of a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. But I am in a dual boot setup. The thing is that it is very simple to install a fresh Ubuntu version by replacing the existing one in the dual boot set up. All you have to do is to boot from the live USB, delete the existing Ubuntu partitions and create new ones for the fresh Ubuntu install. That's it. And this is what I show in this video.
