🗣 Erik ten Hag: "The game is over 90 minutes so to start this is the best [team]. Tottenham are very comfortable from the back, play out so you need a good press. They have a good transition, high intensity so we pick a team to match that with dynamic up front." [@ShamoonHafez]

🗣 Erik ten Hag on Bruno Fernandes: "I think he can be more effective if he plays more centrally, plays more around the striker and arriving in the box." [Amazon]

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "When we bring Cristiano on at a certain point, I'm sure he can have an impact on the game." [Amazon]

🗣️ David de Gea: "He [Ten Hag] wants us to press Spurs high, they are a compact team but we have to try to have the ball, play quickly, make runs in behind and make chances." [via @ShamoonHafez]

🗣️ David de Gea: "We always want to win, especially at home and play against a very good win. A draw after the last game, we have to go for the three points tonight." [via @ShamoonHafez]

🗣 Erik ten Hag: “I know when the routines come even more in, they will become even more controlled, it will be even more dictating and that is what we aim for. We have now to get that routine in, 100 per cent, because in the defence you have to be 100 per cent disciplined.” [MU]

🗣 Erik ten Hag: “We defend with eleven. It’s a team performance, from the front to the back. Really good defending and then you’ll see then that you can achieve clean sheets. It’s a base for every successful team.” [MU]

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "So, I think we have players who can be productive, so that matter of fact [a lack of goals] is not a real concern."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "I think Rashy scored five goals out of 11, Antony wasn't involved in the first games but scored three in his first four appearances, Jadon Sancho scored three goals, Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals, Martial, don’t forget him, he scored also three goals."

🗣 Erik ten Hag on Fernandes' captaincy: "That's also one of the things [he's impressed me with], I think he's an example. The way he transfers the way of play from us, how he motivates around him, how he is the example, so the energy he gives to the team, that's really good."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "When they [Ronaldo & Martial] are present and fit, in a good competitive shape, then I think results from the team will improve."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "I see improvement, so I think when we keep going in this process, we will improve further and the results will be even better."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "I'm a person that’s never satisfied, I'm happy to be here but I'm not satisfied with where we are, but I also know that I'm a little bit impatient. I know that good is not good enough, we have to do better and I see many things we can do better."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "I think he's often in the line of the goal and he's playing a massive role in a lot of moments of football for us: in building up attacks, creativity, movement, but also in transitions, in both sides, in the defensive transitions he's magnificent."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "I think Bruno [Fernandes] is playing really good this season, so I can see in that fact, he can produce more goals, assists."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "I think Bruno [Fernandes] is playing really good this season, so I can see in that fact, he can produce more goals, assists."

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "Such players we are looking for and luckily we have them in the squad. So I am happy with the squad and the motivation they all have. The cooperation is quite good."
