Hello guys, We are starting our second batch of the Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis course. It is going to be a virtual live eight-week course with interactive exercises which will happen on saturday and sunday for one hour. You will be given individualized mentorship from ideas to publication. You will study and put into practice a new component of systematic review and meta-analysis every week. We will pick a research topic at the outset and finish it as a team of 10 members. By the end of the course, you will be well-equipped to write and finalize your manuscript and perform meta-analysis. No prior research experience is required as we will start from the basic level. You will have gained invaluable knowledge and skills that will aid you in advancing your career in residency programs, research fellowships, or MPH programs. Opportunity to be part of an evolving community of researchers and create many research papers together in the future. Syllabus: What will we cover 1. Basic guide to different research studies 2. What is a systematic review and Meta-analysis 3. How to find a research topic according to PRISMA guidelines 4. How to register the systematic review with PROSPERO 4. How to entertain search strategy using various databases: PubMed, EMBASE, Google Scholar, etc. 5. How to do data extraction for meta-analysis 6. How to do statistical analysis starting with basics, starting with tools such as review manager (RevMan), MedCalc and interpret forest and funnel plot 7. How to write meaningful results and other sections such as introductions, methods, discussion of the manuscript 8. How to deal with publication bias, quality assessment, heterogeneity 9. How to do subgroup analysis 10. How to deal with references using EndNote and Zotero 11. How to find a suitable journal for the manuscript 12. How to submit to the journal and follow up 13. How to submit abstracts/posters to various upcoming conferences 14. Help with writing emails for finding research positions 15. Templates for various parts of the manuscript, such as abstracts, methods, tables 16.
