Things to do when feeling overwhelmed
With everything going on this days you can easily feel overwhelmed, here are some tips on how to get yourself out of the emotional rollercoaster...
1. Take an emotional time out - take a break from feeling.
2. Exercise
3. Take a physical time out - lay down and reminisce about anything other than your worries.
4. Breath deeply
5. Meditate or pray
6. Write a journal about all the things you're thankful for - having food to eat, clean air to breath and soon.
7. Call a friend - you'll naturally feel lighter.
8. Procrastinate - this method can be helpful because your subconscious can solve problems for you when you ignore them for a bit.
9. Delegate - do you have to do it all by yourself ? If the answer is no, then give others some share of it too don't take it all up on you 👍
10. Talk things over with your significant other
11. Take a nap
12. Drink water - maybe you're dehydrated
13. Map your progress - you've come along way and wanting to get over this feeling itself is an accomplishment.
14. Accomplish something different - something you don't usually do, or ask someone if they want help in anything.
15. Clean up
16. Turn stuff down - sometimes you have to say no for your mental health just say sorry, not today.
⚠️ It's okay to be overwhelmed just make sure to take control and never let it control you. Take back your power.
As today is a holiday and we are all enjoying it at home, it’s a great time to check in with our selves.
