Last GDPR update This bot keeps track of historical Telegram usernames and display names, that are public identifiers. Why we do it? Because many scammers change their Telegram identity after contacting users, making it difficult to detect impersonation or fraud. When someone writes in a group where the bot is present or interacts with the bot, the current username and display name may be stored as part of a historical record. This allows other users to verify whether an account previously used different identities. The bot does not collect private messages, phone numbers, contacts, or any sensitive information. Queries are limited to prevent abuse and data harvesting. The goal of this bot is simple: increase transparency and help users detect impersonation and scams on Telegram. After the update, we will be monitoring it closely for at least two weeks. Once we confirm everything is stable, we'll deploy these improvements to our main bot, @SangMata_bot. Hello everyone! 👋 We have released a new update for @SangMata_beta_bot v2.9.0! This update introduces a bot translation feature. Almost all parts of the bot are now translated, except for the inline commands and the Telegram bot description. About the languages We use AI translation tools to translate to other languages. If the translation is incorrect, please let us know. If you want to add a new language or modify an existing language, you can request it in a support group, and we will try our best to update it as soon as we can, or you can get the base translation file and manually translate it. How to use? If you prefer the stable version of the bot, we recommend continuing to use @SangMata_BOT. However, if you're interested in exploring new features, you can try the beta bot. In private chat, the bot will automatically respond in your selected language, provided that it is supported. In a group chat, you can use the command “@SangMata_beta_bot getconfig” to view the supported languages. You can then copy the config and change it to your preferred language. Update in SangMata As usual, we will first roll out new features and updates to the beta bot. After we fix all major and reported bugs, we will monitor the beta bot for at least two weeks or more. Then, we will upgrade the stable SangMata bot. What's next? You may have noticed that we don't post updates as frequently; however, the bots are constantly being developed to include new features. Hello everyone! 👋 TLDR: We are informing you that we will be conducting hardware maintenance on the servers this weekend (27th or 28th of July 2024). Long story: Earlier this year, thanks to our supporters, we had the budget to upgrade our servers with all new components. Unfortunately, we encountered an instability issue with the latest Intel processors after a few months of the server running. Therefore, this weekend, we plan to replace the unstable processor with one that is stable but has lower performance while sending the affected processor to Intel for RMA. We don't know how long the replacement processor will arrive, nor can we guarantee its stability, but we will continue to monitor the situation and keep the server running.
