FROM CURIOSITY TO CLOUD ☁️ What does curiosity look like when you actually follow it? During our 2nd AWS SBG AASTU Community Event, Gedion Daniel shared how his journey into cloud and AWS started. He was self-taught, tried different learning opportunities, and most importantly, kept building. One of his early projects, Abe Garage, taught him something important: writing code is one thing, but building something that actually needs to work is completely different Then came AWS 🚀 He launched a server using Amazon EC2 and saw his work running in the cloud for the first time That first experience turned curiosity into something bigger

💡 You don't need to know everything before you start

🍿 DID YOU KNOW NETFLIX USES AWS? Netflix and Amazon Prime Video may compete in streaming, but there’s an interesting connection behind the scenes 👀 Netflix relies heavily on AWS (Amazon Web Services) to support its platform at massive global scale ☁️ And AWS is owned by Amazon So, while Amazon competes with Netflix through Prime Video, its cloud business also provides infrastructure that helps Netflix serve millions of viewers worldwide Competition and collaboration can exist at the same time It’s a great example of a simple business principle: Use the best tool for the job ... even when it comes from a competitor 💬 What would you do? Use your competitor’s infrastructure if it’s the best option, or avoid it? Need help? Contact us: @AWSSBGC_bot Meetup | LinkedIn | Telegram
