لوریسی؛ اشکهای طلایی لوکا لوریسی، بازیگرِ جوانِ تئاتر، چشمهایی طلایی دارد که مردم را بیاختیار به سمتش میکشاند. او خودش هرگز دلیل این جذبهی عجیب را نمیداند؛ فقط میداند که گاهی، وقتی کسی به چشمهایش خیره میشود، ناگهان گریه میکند، یا چیزی را به یاد میآورد که هرگز تجربه نکرده است. لوکا در کنار دو تن از نزدیکترین دوستانش زندگی میکند: اش، گیتاریستِ الکتریکِ پرانرژی و خیابانی، و وسا، بازیگری همکار که مثل خودش اهل تئاتر است و تنها کسیست که چشمهای طلایی برایش هیچ تأثیرِ عجیبی ندارند. آنها یک گروه هنری کوچک تشکیل دادهاند و شبها در سالنهای کوچک اجرا میروند. تا شبی که در میانهی یکی از اجراها، مردی با لباسِ فرسوده و چشمانی بسته از میان جمعیت جلو میآید. او گردنبندی کهنه به دست لوکا میدهد و با لحنی لرزان میگوید: «طلاییاتو نشون نده... میخوان دوباره قفلات کنن. مادرت میدونست... به همینه که مرد.» لوکا که تا آن لحظه فکر میکرد مادرش در یک تصادف ساده جان باخته، حالا با رازی بزرگ روبروست. گردنبند، او را به کتابخانهای مخفی در زیرِ سالنِ تئاتر قدیمی هدایت میکند؛ جایی که نقاشیهای دیواری، چشمهای طلایی را در فرهنگهای باستانی نشان میدهند. اما لوکا تنها کسی نیست که به دنبال این راز است. گروهی مرموز به نام «چشمانداز»، قرنهاست که به دنبال صاحبان چشمهای طلایی میگردند تا آنها را در «دری میانِ دنیاها» محبوس کنند و از قدرتی که این چشمها به همراه دارند، برای هدفی تاریک استفاده کنند. حالا لوکا، اش و وسا وارد سفری خطرناک میشوند؛ سفری که از خیابانهای بارانیِ لندن شروع میشود، به گورستانهای کهن، کتابخانههای متروکه و در نهایت به معبدی زیرزمینی ختم میشود که مادرش سالها پیش، برای محافظت از او، جانش را در آنجا فدا کرده است. لوکا باید انتخاب کند: قدرتِ چشمهایش را بپذیرد و از آن برای باز کردنِ دری به دنیای دیگر استفاده کند، یا برای همیشه آنها را پنهان کند و زندگیِ معمولیِ یک بازیگرِ گمنام را ادامه دهد. اما «چشمانداز» به او فرصتِ انتخاب نمیدهد

Luca lives alongside his two closest friends: Ash, an energetic, street-smart electric guitarist, and Vesa, a fellow actor and the only person for whom his golden eyes hold no peculiar effect. Together, they've formed a small artistic troupe, performing in intimate venues across London. Then comes the night when, mid-performance, a man in worn-out clothes with closed eyes steps forward from the crowd.
