They recently seized Al-Misrakh, removing a key barrier separating their positions from Taiz city. Al-Misrakh had served as a defensive belt south of Taiz, preventing a direct connection between Ansarallah-held territory and the city. Its loss opens a more direct approach, increasing pressure on government-aligned defenders. Ansarallah also took control of Al-Silw district in southeastern Taiz governorate, further narrowing territory available to forces holding the city's approaches. With pressure from multiple directions and key positions falling, Taiz is becoming increasingly isolated.
