If you cannot explain an idea in simple language, there is a good chance you do not understand it as well as you think you do. There is a certain kind of pseudo-intellectual who wants politics to remain a private club. According to them, you need to read five thousand books, memorize every obscure theorist, and speak in a vocabulary no normal person uses before you are allowed to have an opinion. That is not intelligence. It is gatekeeping disguised as sophistication. Reading hundreds of books means nothing if you cannot comprehend them, criticize them, or translate what you learned into something useful. Theory is supposed to sharpen judgment and inform action. It is not supposed to become a status symbol for people competing over who sounds smartest in a group chat. The purpose of knowledge is not to build an intellectual caste above everyone else. It is to understand reality well enough to act within it. If your politics cannot survive contact with ordinary people, ordinary language, and the real world, then perhaps the problem is not that everyone else is too stupid to understand you.
